25.01.2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PytMh1Hoa-U "Encaustic" tiles being manufactured. (properly called cement tiles or Hyraulic tiles.)... In a recent style trend, lately many clients have been hiring us to Install "Encaustic" tiles. Seen here is the manufacturing process for these beautiful, yet delicate and unforgiving tiles. They are made from several soft slurries of cement, oxides and small aggregate. They are then compressed into shape using a large mechanical press. The resulting product is more akin to a very smooth finished paving stone than a glazed or porcelain tile. If youre considering using these in your next project, please take into account that they will be as easy to scratch as marble, and will require very thorough sealing and maintenance to avoid stains. 18.01.2022 Heres a little paper model I made for our client and their designer. Well be tiling a wall and niche in chevron pattern as shown. Black on black for the actual tiles. Stay tuned for photos of the finished job.

15.01.2022 Heres one I really enjoyed. Had to finish in a big hurry as the client was taken Ill with a serious condition and this was the familys only bathroom. Start to finish in 5 days if I recall correctly.
