14.01.2022 Increasing CO2 is driving ocean acidification across the Great Barrier Reef Long-term monitoring by IMOS acidification moorings in the region show that ocean acidification is rapidly changing with seawater CO2 rising 6% in the past 10 years. The recent study by the Australian Institute of Marine Science and CSIRO shows that the rate of seawater CO2 increase across the reef matches the rate of increase of CO2 in the atmosphere. #NCRISImpact https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-75293-1
