25.01.2022 More local kindness #thekindnesspandemic

25.01.2022 Where do you get your health and nutritional advice from? Many diet groups are very popular particularly on social media. Please dont compromise your long term health by following restrictive diets - there is ALWAYS a price to pay down the track. How do I know? ... Because many end up in my clinic with serious health consequences such as an under functioning thyroid, compromised gut health with an imbalance of a healthy microbiome and poor hormonal regulation. And the weight management they were often seeking for years rebounds and they are in a far worse situation than years earlier... Would you trust building your house with a dodgy unqualified builder? No, the foundations may likely crumble. Your health is soo important - Dont listen to all the Karens out there if you value your long term health, see a qualified naturopath or clinical nutritionist EDIT: No offence intended to all the Karens out there! if youre qualified in your field and your name happens to be Karen - this obviously does not apply!

25.01.2022 Weve developed a quick, easy, online clinic to help you check-in on your mental health.

20.01.2022 Just love this and how true it is I had to share. Imagine you were born in 1900. When youre 14, World War I begins and ends when youre 18 with 22 million dead.... Soon after a global pandemic, the Spanish Flu, appears, killing 50 million people. And youre alive and 20 years old. When youre 29 you survive the global economic crisis that started with the collapse of the New York Stock Exchange, causing inflation, unemployment and famine. When youre 33 years old the nazis come to power. When youre 39, World War II begins and ends when youre 45 years old with a 60 million dead. In the Holocaust 6 million Jews die. When youre 52, the Korean War begins. When youre 64, the Vietnam War begins and ends when youre 75. A child born in 1985 thinks his grandparents have no idea how difficult life is, but they have survived several wars and catastrophes. Today we have all the comforts in a new world, amid a new pandemic. But we complain because we need to wear masks. We complain because we must stay confined to our homes where we have food, electricity, running water, wifi, even Netflix! None of that existed back in the day. But humanity survived those circumstances and never lost their joy of living. A small change in our perspective can generate miracles. We should be thankful that we are alive. We should do everything we need to do to protect and help each other. This message should reach everyone. Please help me spread it

20.01.2022 Something beautiful for your newsfeed x

19.01.2022 Your shit is valid I thought this was worth sharing As governments are trying to figure out how to ease back into a new normal, please remember:... Some people dont agree with the suggested reopening.... thats okay. Be kind. Some people are still planning to stay at home.... thats okay. Be kind. Some are still scared of getting the virus and a second wave happening.... thats okay. Be kind. Some are sighing with relief to go back to work knowing they may possibly save their business or their homes....thats okay. Be kind. Some are thankful they can finally have a surgery they have put off....thats okay. Be kind. Some will be able to attend interviews after weeks without a job....thats okay. Be kind. Some will wear masks for weeks....thats okay. Be kind. Some people will rush out to get the hair or nails done.... thats okay. Be kind. The point is, everyone has different viewpoints/feelings and thats okay. Be kind. We each have a different story. If you need to stay home, stay home. But be kind. If you need to go out, just respect others when in public and be kind! Dont judge fellow humans because youre not in their story. We all are in different Financial - and - Mental states than we were months ago. So remember, be kind. Copy, paste, and share as a reminder to BE KIND!

19.01.2022 Seasoning my new #Australianmade @solidteknics wrought iron lightening pan which Ive been eagerly awaiting production and delivery of for months. These pans are lighter than cast iron, they are made from one continuous piece, individually stamped as 1st edition, Australian made and have a cute map of Australia on the handle to hang them from (even Tassie is on the map!) This will become a family heirloom for generations to come. No cheap nasty aluminium or toxic non stick coatings. They are expensive but you can gradually add to the collection over time. #integrativehealthwithlisacurran #solidteknicsaustralia #solidteknics #healthycooking #buyaustralianmade

18.01.2022 Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas and New year filled with lots of love, health and happiness. Whilst 2020 has challenged us all globally on many levels, there has been many precious moments along the way where people have unselfishly supported those less fortunate, reached out and checked in on and helped friends, family and even strangers in need and have become more united as a community and supported local businesses and trade. Christmas to me is a magical time... of year, it’s about giving not receiving and about reflecting on family, friends and the year that was.... and woah plenty of reflection this year for many! Sending love and best wishes to those doing it tough this Christmas, to those who may have lost loved ones or are separated by loved ones due to border closures. To those whose livelihoods have been impacted physically, emotionally or economically, I wish for an improved 2021 filled with health, abundance and optimism. Thankyou to my valued clients, consultations have been interesting not being able to do face to face and we adapted well to using Zoom, Messenger and FaceTime platforms. Who would’ve thought you could consult this way? Merry Christmas and to all a very peaceful New Year xx

05.01.2022 The Royal Melbourne Hospital is an evidence-based organisation. As such, we do not support the sharing of misinformation on COVID-19 on social media through com...ments, shares, updates or otherwise. COVID-19 has been proven by scientists to be a real virus. It is not caused by 5G or the Chinese Government. As COVID-19 is a novel (new) coronavirus, we are still learning about the long-term effects of the illness. However, we have observed that patients who recover still have lingering effects of the illness up to months after contracting the virus. We will say this with certainty: COVID-19 is not "just the flu". It is a serious illness with devastating consequences. Please make sure you get your information on COVID-19 from trusted sources, including the World Health Organization (WHO), Victorian Department of Health & Human Services and Australian Government Department of Health. Our health professionals are real people going through a really tough time. We are fortunate that we are able to bring you their stories from the frontline in order for you to understand this debilitating virus. If you are engaging on our social media, we ask that you do it respectfully. And, most of all, be kind. Comments which spread misinformation or are hurtful to our staff will be deleted.
