05.01.2022 This is an interesting meta analysis suggesting pilates is "somewhat effective" in the management of lower back pain when compared to minimal intervention, and not more effective than other forms of exercise. I still maintain that pilates is an excellent approach to the initial phase of returning to exercises after acute pain, but individual factors need to be considered in longer term exercise programming! If its not fun and easy to get too, you probably wont keep going. we shouldn't try to fit our life around exercise, we need to fit exercise into our life.
