25.01.2022 We have a few new additions to our family! We are so excited to have our new little girls hanging out in our very own backyard! I love eggs, and rely on them a lot as my source of protein & minerals as I tend to not eat meat ... 22.01.2022 I have really been CRAVING a cold pasta salad I am a big fan of trying to either adapt your cravings to a healthier version or having a small amount & moving on NOT obsessing and feel crappy about it which will probably just result in binging... So this is my recipe of the week! A healthier spin on Greek pasta salad! 15.01.2022 I get A LOT of questions about how I make my sauerkraut....& here’s the thing it’s really simple! But it is hard work... There is easier ways, quicker ways, but this how I do it ... And I find the result miles apart from other techniques I've tried So.... Take a cabbage, finely slice it, add some salt & squish it in your hands Over & over & over & over Until the cabbage is broken down & enough moisture is released to be able to pack in into a jar, covered in the juice. & let her sit In our humidity I don’t need to leave it for very long, but just... If I allowed my insecurities and ego to control my reaction to this photo I would hate it My kitchen is messy, I'm not at all camera ready, I didn’t know it was happening & was awkwardly mid laugh, clueless that the camera was on me ... Instead, I feel so much gratitude and joy towards it Kris took this photo of me (when Kris NEVER really takes photos) Without me knowing.... & told me later when I found it on my phone looking for photos of cabbage...as I do... that he took it because I looked so beautiful and happy In the kitchen. In my element. Happy. No bells and whistles. No filters. This is me. Everyday. Feeding my family, from the heart This is my truth, the side of me I don’t normally show, because social media tends to make me overthink, over prepare or worry about judgement or expectation This is me - working everyday to accept myself in my own skin & empower myself, as much as I am so easily able to do, for all the other beautiful women in my life Because I don’t know about you, but I tend to feel effortless when it comes to empowering others... And if you know me, you know I love anything that can streamline my morning So if you have an excess of lemons, I recommend putting on a podcast & pre-juicing a whole bunch like I do... ...
