25.01.2022 Hi Everyone - Our next NZ to EU export is happening late May. We have been in discussion with Europe and the UK regarding Brexit and what it may mean to entry p...oints for our shipments. News overnight advises that no change will occur at least for 2020. This means we will still enter Europe through the UK and transport across Europe as per normal. If you are considering purchasing and have not provided details to us you still have time before the Quarantine starts. We aim to close off the next group by the end of March so you have until then to start buying or selling as the case maybe! Cheers from Wildflower Alpacas Export and Quarantine Services. See more

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone - exports from NZ to Europe Just letting everyone know regarding the latest surrounding CV19 restrictions affecting transport across the world. I have spoken to the airlines and the latest is that the embargoes on Livestock are still in place, just to reiterate these are due to the inability to take grooms onboard for CV19 distancing guidelines. As you maybe aware its quite a confined space for a 38 hour period and there are numerous crew changes. Its also coincid...ed with a reduction in aircraft schedules which minimizes the ability to obtain connecting flights, let alone the same aircraft all the way through to Europe. The airlines have the restrictions in place at least until the 31st of July, its with this and the time frame of a Quarantine (42 days) we don’t think its wise to start transporting alpacas, isolating them on a possible lifting of restrictions. I anticipate that the airline schedules and restrictions wont be lifted prior to that date but I will be monitoring them frequently for any changes. The scenario is that at the earliest we could start a Quarantine in August which would mean a mid Sept export. We had planned for the second shipment in October so the thought now is to combine both groups for an early October export. As stated the situation is fluid and changes to the above could take place, we will be monitoring the situation regularly and I will update everyone in a few weeks. Best regards Steve

17.01.2022 Just as a follow up to our European clients and in relation to our next NZ to Europe export scheduled for June. Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well and taking care of friends and family in these times.... The situation across Europe has not changed much regarding border closures , freight is moving albeit essential items only. This does include livestock however flights are still disrupted with many services being cancelled or altered to suit urgent supplies. The Airline we use from NZ (the only freighter option) has imposed Groom / Handler restrictions for at least the whole of May with a review towards the end of May. These restrictions follow World Health guidelines centered around the safe distancing requirements. The cockpit and subsequent groom area is quite confined with regular close contact inevitable. Its with this the they are protecting their crew from any possible exposure and is fully understandable. The export requirements require a handler onboard with the livestock, our internal procedures also require handlers onboard to ensure animal health and welfare is maintained throughout the long journey. Aircraft flight schedules are also being disrupted with infrequent connecting aircraft. The Quarantine period of 42 days and subsequent testing time frames makes booking a scheduled service quite hard with all the uncertainty. We have decided to defer the start up of a Quarantine for another month and will review the situation in late May. (estimated late July export) We are in constant contact with the Airlines and European agencies to monitor any changes that occur. If anyone has any concerns please feel to email or call us directly. Best regards Steve

17.01.2022 As you now will be aware, COVID-19, otherwise known as the Coronavirus, continues to be a serious concern for Australians and people all over the world. We wan...ted to quickly let you know that as we take precautions to protect staff and our customers, it will still be business as usual at Wildflower Alpacas Quarantine and Export Services. If you are looking to purchase or would like to Import Alpacas without having to be effected by the travel bans we are happy to source Alpacas for you. There are certain flight delays to upcoming orders (April) and those effected have already been advised. Any exports planned from June on wards have not been affected but we are being briefed by Government departments and Airlines as to any changes that are going to be implemented. We will stay vigilant as the situation progresses and keep everyone updated as quickly as possible. If you require any more information please email us at [email protected] Best regards Sue and Steve

05.01.2022 Hi everyone, our next Europe group from NZ will be starting Isolation towards the end of April. If you are discussing sales with anyone overseas we need to know... final numbers by mid April. Our date for export is the 10th of June. We are still going into Heathrow as it will be the first entry point into Europe until the end of 2020. Discussions with DEFRA / APRA are taking place as to what the new protocol for Alpaca into the UK will look like so we hope to have news on this later in the year. In the meantime drop us an email if you would like to join the group in June! Our next export group for Europe after that will be Oct / Nov 2020. Regards Sue and Steve
