17.01.2022 WATER MANAGEMENT REGULATOR TO VISIT PROPERTIES The Natural Resources Access Regulator (NRAR) has announced they will visit properties in the Ashford, Goondiwindi, Texas, Mungindi, Tenterfield, Glen Innes and Upper Horton areas in December 2020 to observe water management practices. NRAR’s Director Water Regulation West Gregory Abood encourages landholders in the areas to check their compliance with water laws before the regulator visits their properties. Landholders in Goondiwindi, Texas, Mungindi, Tenterfield, Ashford, Glen Innes and Upper Horton can expect a visit from the routine monitoring team in the coming weeks, so now is a good time for them to consider if their water management practices are compliant." 16.01.2022 PAINT THE TOWN PURPLE Eloise and Somone at our front counter have been getting their purple on this week, in support of the Community Violence Prevention team's Paint the Town Purple. Tomorrow is the day to wear purple to work and get behind this initiative to reduce all forms of violence in our community!

14.01.2022 UPDATE - ONE LANE OPEN ON GWYDIR HIGHWAY The Gwydir Highway now has one lane open and is under traffic control between Bertha Street and Froude Street due to a house fire. Swan Street is also closed between Warialda Road and Urabatta Street. Motorists can detour around the site via Bannockburn Road and Jardine Road.



11.01.2022 NORTHERN FORESHORES CLOSURE Concrete road crossings will be installed at Copeton Northern Foreshores from Wednesday, 25 November until Friday, 27 November. Northern Foreshores will be closed during this time and will reopen at 6am on Saturday, 28 November.
