The regular attendees of the Beginner Coaching have quickly developed their skills. Therefore, Sunday coaching is now beginner intermediate level. As it is also getting warmer, there will now be one session only from 9am until 10am for 12 riders. Upon prior arrangement, I am happy to meet any brand new riders (who are members of Ipswich BMX Club) at the track before these sessions, to take them through the basics. We have loved giving you all 'dinner and a show' But it is time for us to move on. Thank you to the few ring ins from our club that jumped in and helped in the canteen over that time (you know how you are). We also want to send a big thank you to members from our sister clubs for their support and help on our large events such as... Open days, Shootouts, Cities, South Q Titles and National Titles. It has been a wonderful adventure for us and we have had a ball. It is time for us to hand the canteen reins over to someone else, whomever that might be. 15.01.2022 As BMX moves into a new era it got me thinking. BMX has really bought so much to our lives, I am sure people say this about other sports as well but the community within bmx is just amazing. I love that it's an individual sport but with a huge team feel to it. It might be your club cheering you, your sponsors, your friends from other clubs or family but you always have a team behind you. ... We (myself and the kids) have met amazing people and made wonderful friends. We have had awesome coaches and mentors from all different clubs help out. The sport is great for anyone regardless of age, sex, mental health, wealth or fitness levels. It can be as competitive or as fun as you want to make it. Thank you to our BMX community !!! 14.01.2022 I would like to say a little something to those who have stepped down to from the Committee today. For the last 6+ years I have had the utmost pleasure of being on the club committe with some incredible people. One of those being the president for the last 2 years and vice president before that, @Justin Radloff. Previous committee members had a wonderful vision of what Ipswich Bmx Club could become and had done what they could to help it get there. But I have to say Justin al...ong with his side kicks was an instrumental part of making the club what we see today. I personally know of the tireless hours day in and out working with council, business, sponsors and members behind the scenes and being at every event before, during and after organizing, setting and packing up. Even when his own child wasn't even there have would turn up straight from work and put in more hours to make sure everyone had an awesome place to come and ride. He has been an intricate part of making Ipswich bmx club one of the top clubs in qld. @Louise bool, the canteen queen. When we took over the canteen 4 yrs ago you also had a vision of making it the best club canteen we could. And I believe we achieved it. You gave your heart and soul not only to L&L's Cafe but to the whole club. You were determined to provide beautiful, sometimes healthy lol, family meals for our members. You also dedicated most of your life to the canteen (we always joked it was like having a full time job) All while caring for an autistic son at home, and also when jayden wasnt even riding. I watched you give 150% before during and after big events and when you wanted to drop, you kept going to make sure our customers were fed and happy and our canteen kept the reputation of being the place to eat. @Edwina Excell a beautiful lady who also have her heart and soul to the canteen and the whole club. Being right by our side organising, planning and working countless hours in the canteen also when her child wasn't even there. You also shared our vision for L&L's and were a valuable part of making it what it became. But you didn't stop there, you gave your valuable time with your family on weekends helping maintain the club grounds with your husband @mark excell who spent hours and days maintaining the grounds and equipment. Who also dedicated his time before, during and after events, to make sure they were the best they could be. @Kimmi freeman our checkout chick. You seen my passion for Ipswich bmx club and gave years of your heart and time to L&L's even though you had no children riding at all. You were also a intricate part of making our canteen the best by giving you time and beautiful personality not only to club nights but also giving hours and hours on our big events. It has been alot of hard work but I have had an absolute ball being part of L&L's Cafe and working with the Committee. I will miss it a lot. Congratulations to the new committee for 2021. Riders with transponder errors coming up. Please check that list and make sure you're not on it.
