25.01.2022 This week we are celebrating all things Teddy Bears.The children have bought in their Teddy's from home to enjoy a special Teddy Bears Picnic,we are also making collage Teddy's, painting our Teddy's portrait and cooking some toasty Teddies.

21.01.2022 The babies have been exploring their musical abilities this week. We have some emerging talent which is being encouraged with exposure to instruments, different musical styles and singing. In addition some of the babies have been showing off their own childcare skills looking after the baby dolls. "Just like Miss Chloe"

19.01.2022 It was excursion time for the children at Ipswich Central Childcare and the over threes had an educational and fun trip to the Wind Tubes installation in the Mall. The children enjoyed designing aerodynamic creatiobns to fly in the wind tubes and we also had wind powered ball aiming competitions. It was loads of fun.

18.01.2022 Our Christmas party this year was enjoyed by staff, family, friends and of course the children. A wonderful buffet of food was on offer, full of variety and creativity. Songs were performed for beaming parents, then the big moment had arrived. Santa made his entrance greeted with cheers and claps. A magical night enjoyed by all.

17.01.2022 Our wonderful parents enjoyed a yummy Fathers Day breakfast on Thursday morning, bacon and egg rolls with a cup of refreshing orange juice.

16.01.2022 The second week of vacation care has been really busy and exciting. Some stunning pieces of art work have been created. The children also enjoyed an interesting experiment involving bi-carb soda, vinegar and balloons. Paddle pop stick art was used to create some Easter baskets.

16.01.2022 On your mark, get set, GO!! For the last two weeks the Pre-School children have been exploring all things Rio to coinside with the olympics. They enjoyed experiencing the culture and food, along with discovering the amazing array of different animals. But the event they were most excited about was the Pre-School Olyimpics which included; wheel barrow races, egg and spoon races, balance beam long jump. Everyone enjoyed themselves and proudly showed off their gold medals. Go team Ipswich Central!!

15.01.2022 Our Toddler room has been busy this week creating rainbows for the upcoming St Patricks Day celebrations.

15.01.2022 We have been very creative in Pre-Kindy this week, preparing for our Easter Celebrations. The children enjoyed glueing cotton balls to paper plates as the first step towards their Easter gifts. The children also explored collaging Easter eggs with brightly coloured paper. Car, trucks and all thing vehicle related is still a popular choice of activity in the Pre-Kindy room.

14.01.2022 Even though we seem to be a cursed crew with the weather turning a foul every time we have a pirate party we are tough piartes and we party on regardless of the sea spray from the seven seas.....here are some of the fun and games we had on Wednesday...stories, Pirate action games, treasure hunt, pirate pinata and a pirate picnic too....

14.01.2022 The children and staff at Ipswich Central Childcare and Pre-School are all settling in to our new rooms for the year. We started our journey together celebrating Valentines Day with activities and craft.

14.01.2022 Thursday 1st September we will be celebrating Fathers Day with a yummy breakfast. Bacon and egg rolls for all our wonderful centre parents.

13.01.2022 During Naidoc Week the Pre-Kindy and Pre-School children enjoyed creating some dot painting inspired kangaroos. Later they all helped make and taste honey fingers a representation of bush tucker.

13.01.2022 We are really enjoying the holidays at Ipswich Central Chilcare and Pre School. The children had a day of fun on Tuesday dressing up and role playing. We explored the computors, created magical works of art, manipulated the playdough into yummy food and tested our building skills in the construction area.

12.01.2022 We will be running an Easter Raffle for our centre parents who for a gold coin donation can take a guess at the amount of Easter Eggs in the jar located in the office.

11.01.2022 Wednesday was a lovely day and some of the children enjoyed a pretend breakfast in the yard. They served each other and created a wonderful harmonious cafe culture experience.

11.01.2022 Breakfast Time: After the success of our Mothers Day breakfast we have decided that all parents should be able to grab a healthy breakfast on the go. To assist our time poor parents we are providing breakfast once a month for all. We have fruit salad, sandwiches and criossants this morning. Enjoy.....

11.01.2022 Our Pre-Kindy, Kindy and Pre-School children have been taking advantage of the gorgeous winter weather. We have been extending our morning outside time to take advantage of the warm sun. This time has also included picnic morning teas served in the shade of our lovely tree. This is a wonderful opportunity for the range of ages to socialise together in the relaxed atmosphere of the picnic.

09.01.2022 Ipswich Central Childcare and Pre-School are celebrating NADOC week with a variety of activities. Including face painting, cooking, and lots of different craft activities. Stay tuned for some awesome photos of our celebrations.

09.01.2022 In the Preschool room we have been exploring science every week. By experimenting with bi-carb and vinager, colour mixing and making goop and slime the children are learning about ingredients, method, equipment and learning through trial and error. Here are some children learning about magnets and what sticks and beginning to think about the reason why things are magnetised.

05.01.2022 Now we are experiencing some cooler weather the children and staff of Ipswich Central Childcare and Pre-School enjoyed a day in their pajamas. Munching on popcorn surrounded by big pillows and their friends the children also enjoyed watching SingLots of laughter, singing and cheering could be heard from the Pre-School room.

04.01.2022 On Wednesday it was Dr Suess;s birthday. By sheer coincidence we have been reading Green Eggs & Ham in the Preschool room. WThe children decided to make green eggs and ham. It turned out that Sam- I -Am was correct they are yummy! (Ms Rowena showed us how our chickens laid the eggs we used)!
