13.01.2022 The gates were officially opened today to welcome patrons to the new racing facilities at the Ipswich Turf Club with over 1600 people attending during the day. ... Minister for Racing Stirling Hinchliffe and ITC chairman Wayne Patch plus government officials from all three tiers were on hand for the occasion marking the end to the much-anticipated new facility. Under a strict Covid-restricted crowd, patrons enjoyed a magnificent day that kicked off with markets followed by our flagship event for the day of the Ipswich Spring Cup Races. To wrap up the huge day, a wedding starting with canapes by the kitchen garden and aviary followed by the reception in the new Grange Lounge overlooking the track. The range of events on display today shows the transformation of the Ipswich Turf Club on a site which now houses the Ipswich Events & Entertainment Centre as well.

Now it tells the history of racing in the region with the journey displayed on the walls.
