12.01.2022 Ipswich Squash says goodbye to another great. Gloria Antonio, long time Ipswich Squash and Masters Squash player passed away recently. If you would like to pay your respects, her funeral will be held at Heritage Gardens, Goodna, 2.00pm this Friday 25/9/2020. The venue can sit 36 people indoors and 100 outdoors. Gloria got the squash bug at 50 and then spent the next 37 years loving the game, playing up to 4 times a week. Gloria always had a lob serve and developed the rar...e talent of playing with either hand. Gloria was very competitive & visualised winning 27-3 which often happened especially against new players who struggled with many her many aces & pin point accurate drop shots. Gloria & her second husband Len had the first denture clinic in Ipswich where Gloria was a technical assistant & administrator until 76 when she retired. Gloria was so inspirational & respected. In her words, "I really love squash & wish I could play forever". See more
