The standard of football played al...Continue reading
24.01.2022 Our sincere apologies with the lack of updates throughout the day. Tomorrow we will provide a full round up. The grand finals were just epic though with Flinders O’Neills defeating a galant Irish Blues team. In the men’s our very own Irish Australians lads came away with the victory over our good friends Geelong in a scoreline of 3-11 to 3-7!... Now we head for the Tonsley for all-star and best player presentations. Slainte Abu

17.01.2022 Good evening all Well we are nearly to that time of the year where the winter sports come to an end. No doubt this year for you all has been different and some... would say unusual. We will be running our gaelic competitions again this year with men and womens state league competitions running from late october with games friday evening or sunday. In addition we are also looking for interest in men's 7s played as a pre Xmas competitions Wednesday night's. We would welcome any footy clubs or players interested in getting involved to support pre seasons. All games are played at the recently upgraded St Marys Park (old panther park) st Mary's near the tonsley precinct. For those of you involved last year please register your interest n playing with your club or make contact to our page. If you are interested in assisting in a non playing role (like referring) we would also like to hear from you. We look forward to seeing you out at the grounds. Gfhasa President
14.01.2022 Unfortunately following on from two failed attempts at getting a quorum and people to take on committee roles we are in the same situation as last year where we... don't have a GFHASA committee I’m sure there are enough people here to want to keep this organisation and competitions going and maybe titles are getting in the way of us being able to put a new committee together. It’s important that we come together as a group of clubs and a community to do so. You are all aware that the current committee has basically disbanded so for any competitions or games in the future including state games and the local competition some action is necessary. We need to really figure out what is important to us and our playing community for this upcoming year, so please put the call out to your club members to see if there are people who want to get involved, either in administrative or competition game day roles. As a minimum we need 1 person from each team to come together to form the state committee. A meeting to set up a committee for the upcoming GFHASA season will be held in St. Marys Park Clubrooms on Wednesday June 5th at 7PM.
14.01.2022 This weekend we hosted the Australasian Ladies Native Team for a training weekend before they go to the GAA World Games in Waterford/Dublin. Here the girls introduce themselves in a crossbar challenge!!
13.01.2022 Hi all, we will be holding our season launch after training this Thursday at Adelaide Lutheran. Get any mates old or new to the club out for a kick then a few slices of pizza and a beer to meet the rest of the gang. Season proper kicks off the following weekend with fuxtures likely to be released by end of this week
13.01.2022 Thanks to all our players and supporters that joined us at our club presentation night at the Coopers Alehouse last Friday. Congratulations to the award winners. Stay safe in these unprecedented times and we look forward to reuniting with you all later in the year
10.01.2022 Great turn out by all 3 teams tonight for training (have my suspicions pizza & beers may have been a contributing factor) but looking forward to kicking off the season next weekend and seeing every1 out at St Marys! Fixtures to be released over the coming weekend.
09.01.2022 Some legends of the clubs some first year state players and some future stars to the club! Well done lads on a great performance winning the intermediate state championship!
07.01.2022 Please be advised the date for the Gaelic Special General Meeting to elect the committee for 2019/20 The meeting will be at St Marys Park Clubrooms on Wednesday 25th September at 6.30pm. There has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes and we can confidently say through the support of a number of people we have people from all clubs that are willing to step up and be in the committee. That being said we still need to hold a meeting to ratify the committee. It’s importa...nt that we come together as a group of clubs and a community to do so and also express what is important to you as an individual and as clubs. Going forward the committee will have at least one representative from each team within our Association. It was felt this was important to share the responsibility and give all clubs a team a fair say at contributing to the game. The expectation is that this person attends the monthly meetings or forwards a proxy. Please pass this on to all members within your club and teams Thanks
07.01.2022 Congratulations from all at the club to our recent World Games participants seen here with our club crest at Croke Park in Dublin. Matt helped Australasia Native mens team to the quarter finals of the Cup (Div1) competition. Anita, Bec and Woody, under coach Chris and Manager Paddy, performed admirably and nearly acheived greatness with the Native Ladies team falling narrowly to New York in the Cup decider at Croke Park. All at the club are extremely proud of your remarkable achievements!
