20.01.2022 This week I have been handling foals! 3 warmblood babies. Luckily some of these guys have been handled a bit in the crush while next to their mums. It can be a pretty full on experience for a foal to have a human approach them and to willingly stand there, So previously having been touched can help to make it not such a big deal for them. This is a session from early this week with little Narell. Narell didnt get the same handling as the others in the crush so coming into t...his round yard was her first real interaction close to a person. Because of this I have given her a little more time to become comfortable with me in her space. This is an important time for these guys; anything these babies move into after this, it all starts here. This is where we begin building the foundations. There have been a few head scratching moments throughout this week, every horse is different and at every age and they all teach me something new every single day. There will always, ALWAYS be something new to learn. I am hungry for more!

08.01.2022 And that’s a wrap! This week I finished breaking in 3 warmbloods for Emma Bishop from Woniora Equestrian Park in Paterson. Wonderful horses to work with, I’m very grateful and excited to see what Emma has planned for these girls! Having these breakers go back to an owner that is a very well known, experienced eventing and dressage trainer, I did my best to give them back as a blank canvas for her to work with. This is important so that she can go straight to teaching the new aids and not having to spend time correcting others. Emma and Gordon Bishop are incredible Eventing and Dressage trainers, if you have a horse that needs education or if you yourself want lessons in this discipline, send them a message!

04.01.2022 Hi there! Welcome to my page! Let me introduce myself! My name is Isabelle and I have a business in training and breaking in horses. ... I absolutely love what I do, and love doing it for others who just don't have the time themselves. When someone has a horse that is sitting in the back paddock waiting to be exercised or broken in but it just isn't happening, they call me! More often than not, I travel to a clients house and work their horse right there. Depending on the level of work needed for the horse - it might be just some ground work, teaching the horse to get on a float, taking it out on its own for a trail ride, general exercising or (if the facilities are appropriate) breaking in. They can also come to my place too! I have worked in many places with horses; station work in the Northern Territory, as an apprentice for Ross Clarke at Clarkes stud in Baradine, Ive studied horse husbandry and now I am out on my own servicing the Hunter Valley! My aim for this page is to make it easier for anyone to ask me questions about what I do or to get in contact with me about a horse they need worked! So please feel free to share share share! and don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions. The photo below is of beautiful Quirko, a 3 yr old warmblood mare that I am just about finished with. She is owned by the lovely Emma Bishop of Woniora Equestrian Park. Here, I am doing something called the Jeffreys method or the human curry comb. I do this with all breakers before putting a saddle on them.
