23.01.2022 Hey guys and gals We have more many years provided heaps of free information, questions answered directly, stats and analysis on our FB and webpages. In fact for 23 years now !! We have never I don't think asked for anything in return. But today is the day for a good cause ....... I luv golf but usually play 18 holes in around 4 hours. We are challenging ourselves to 72 holes of golf in one day which likely is a 5am to 7pm 14 hours of mishits, laughs and hopefully a cold beer at the end. It is raising funds for cancer through the Cancer Council of Western Australia. There are many of us who have lost a dear family member to many forms of cancer over the years. I lost my beautiful mum earlier this year. It is a great cause and every little bit helps and is tax deductable I ask you to consider donating even $10/$20 to our official fundraising page here https://www.longestday.org.au/fundraisers/stevenoneil Many many thanks And we will continue to provide as much visa information as we can on these pages free for you :-)

16.01.2022 QLD State Migration update - Skilled Program The skilled program remains suspended until further notice. Please DO NOT submit an EOI as they will not be picked up or considered.... While BSMQ recognises there are a number of people in challenging situations, we are required to adhere to selecting occupations critical to the COVID recovery. These occupations will be processed as a priority. Priority cannot be given to applicants who have a visa expiring at this time. BSMQ received several thousand EOIs from 29 September 05 October and only have a limited quota in the interim period. BSMQ have exhausted our interim 190 quota and will not be issuing any further invitations until we re-open the program. If you have already received an invitation for a 190 visa, your application will continue to be processed. 491 invitations are still being sent out to applicants who submitted an EOI between 29 September 05 October 2020. Please do not call or email to enquire about whether you have been picked up, or where you are in the queue, as this slows down processing times. We will advise a re-opening of the skilled program via our homepage and across social media in December 2020. https://migration.qld.gov.au/

07.01.2022 Update from NSW about 190/491 programs (note the reference below to 491 changes we think means that each of the regional areas will be able to manage part of the 491 sponsorship process. This MAY mean more flexible occupations and criteria ) - iscah comment NSW State government announcement - ... NSW Business and Skilled Migration Skilled is close to filling its interim allocation of nomination positions for the 2020-21 program year provided by the Department of Home Affairs. Following the Commonwealth Government’s announcement of the annual migration program planning levels, an additional provision of nomination positions for the reminder of the year may become available in the coming weeks. Further information will be provided on our website once the allocation of nomination positions has been finalised. Skilled migration NSW will continue to operate an expression of interest and invitation model to address NSW’s skill needs. Under direction from Home Affairs, NSW will continue to priorities applicants with skills to support NSW economic recovery and public health response. We will only invite applicants currently in selected health, ICT and engineering occupations, and who are residing in NSW. Regional migration NSW will shortly announce changes to the management of the Skilled Work Regional Visa (subclass 491). Information on changes will be announced on our Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) web page. Business Innovation & Investment Program (BIIP) In-line with the skilled migration program, NSW is currently operating an expression of interest and invitation model for Business, Innovation and Investment Visas. EOIs are still welcomed across all BIIP subclasses excluding the 132B visa and can continue to be submitted in Skill Select. If additional positions are made available to NSW for the BIIP, NSW may change its approach to the management of the program for the remainder of the year. NSW Business and Skilled Migration is unable to answer enquiries regarding the status of your Expression of Interest or your Intention to Apply Information on changes will be announced on our Business and investor visas web page. COVID Concessions Home Affairs recently announced some concessions in Australia’s migration programs in relation to COVID. NSW will largely seek to honour these concessions where there is no direct conflict with additional nomination criteria set by NSW. We are unable to make assessments outside of a formal application process. (Any questions to [email protected] thanks)

05.01.2022 NAATI results DO have an expiry date ------------------------------------------ Even though Immigration legislation does not state an expiry date on acceptance NAATI results , we received the following advice from DHA on this issue today which suggests they are valid for the NAATI endorsed 3 year period ...... To be eligible for 5 points for a credentialed community language, the applicant must provide evidence that at the time of invitation to apply for the visa they were accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) at the specified standard. For find more information on NAATI’s guidelines for the Credentialed Community Language Test, please visit: https://www.naati.com.au/services/ccl/ As stated on NAATI’s website, if an individual’s credentials have expired , they will need to take the test again. 05.01.2022 October Skill Select Round ------------------------------ We have seen several 491 family invitations yesterday but NO 189 invitations. They are usually done together.... We are trying to obtain confirmation from DHA if the 189s received ANY invites The lowest ranked 491 family that we saw invited was 80 points (Nurse) EOI effect date of 20/09/2020

05.01.2022 Skill Select round November 2020 ------------------------------------- On the small chance that DHA actually go ahead with a normal selection round on the 11th of the month (which no longer seems to be the norm ...)... We collate results from many different resources after each selection round to try and bring you some unofficial results One of those methods is from our generous facebook followers. So if you DO RECEIVE a 491 (family) or 189 invite tonight can you please provide the following information to us - Occupation - Visa 189 or 491 - Points total - EOI effect date And if you can please email that to us at [email protected] that would be a great help. Thanks
