06.01.2022 COVID MARSHAL TRAINING Complete it online https://marshal.clickontraining.com.au/ From 21 August 2020, you must have a COVID Marshal if your business or acti...vity is or involves any of the following: Hospitality: Any business or activity providing food and/or beverages for on-site consumption to members of the public, including pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, wineries, cellar doors, dining areas, food courts, etc. This does not include take-away only operators. Gyms and fitness centre: Gyms and fitness centres/studios, pilates, yoga, spin, barre, dance and similar studios, health clubs, etc. Indoor and outdoor sports clubs: e.g. football, cricket, netball, soccer, tennis clubs, racing (horse/greyhound) clubs (both indoor and outdoor areas). Swimming pools available for public use: Publicly owned pools and businesses that operate with a swimming pool the public can use, including associated facilities such as showers, changerooms etc. Social and community clubs: e.g. community/RSL halls, youth and recreation centres, other facilities commonly used for meetings, gatherings and events open to members of the public. Religious or faith-based ceremonies: Includes both ceremonies and services held at places of worship, such as churches, mosques, synagogues or temples, and ceremonies or services held elsewhere. This does not include weddings or funerals. Supermarkets and hardware stores: Includes all retailers including small or independent stores that operate as supermarkets or hardware stores (these are more common in regional areas). However, for these smaller operations, this usually simply means that the floor manager/main staff member on duty would also act as COVID Marshal while at work. As such, this would likely not be onerous. Distribution centres: Includes distribution centres and their associated transport operations (e.g. arrival/departure areas, loading/unloading and other activities). Businesses or activities that are required to have a COVID Management Plan. If you have a capacity of 200 people or less then you must have a nominated COVID Marshal. This means that you can nominate one of your regular staff members to also perform the role of COVID Marshal in addition to conducting his/her usual duties. If you have a capacity of more than 200 then you must have a dedicated COVID Marshal. This means that you must have a staff member on site that only and exclusively performs the role of COVID Marshal during your business or activitys operations. https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/recovery/covid-marshals

04.01.2022 The South Australian Muslim community has grown in vast numbers over the past 10 years and Alhamdulilah, through this time we have witnessed youth involvement increase dramatically also. The Islamic Society of South Australia has been exploring avenues to introduce beneficial programs and social activities in a safe environment, not only for the youth but for their families as well. Previously, programs such as Festivals, family picnics, barbeque sessions, social gathering a...nd movie nights were held for families to share both valuable time with each other and with the wider community. We would like to invite you all, especially the youth themselves to come forward and be part of this important discussion to charter the future and provide an effective program for the future of the next generation. 02.01.2022 MORE AID FOR LEBANON $5million in total from AUSTRALIA to communities in need. Dear Friends, Leaders, community members of the Lebanese Community of South A...ustralia - Australia is standing with you in this tragedy. Further to my previous two Facebook postings, in case you missed the news, Australia has pledged an additional $3 million in support for Lebanon in the wake of the devastating Beirut blast in Lebanon. Australian Prime Minister Hon. Scott Morrison (ScoMo) announced Australia would boost its aid contribution from $2 million to $5 million and was ready to provide more in response to requests. The PM said although Australia was a long way from Lebanon, it had longstanding ties to the country through its large Lebanese-Australian community. In South Australia, we have been blessed with a wonderful Lebanese community that are enterprising, caring and great contributors to our community and society from all walks of life. The Federal and State Government acknowledged the Australian-Lebanese community members are also organising many of their own donation drives to support those affected by the deadly chemical explosion in Beirut. Funds donated will be delivered through international partners including the United Nations World Food Program, Red Cross and UNICEF. Thank you to all the kind hearted people who are reaching out to those in despair and are standing in solidarity with the Lebanese community in Lebanon and here in Australia. Keeping everyone in our prayers and thoughts in this very sad and difficult time.
