17.01.2022 Island Target Archery will be changing the time and day we will be shooting. This will be a trial, to see if we can garner more interest in Archery. Dogs - While dogs are welcome to our grounds, they must be on a lead at all times. Any poo droppings must be picked up immediately. Please provide your own poo bags.

16.01.2022 We only shot on Sunday this week, because the weather man told fibs. There was no rain at all. Today, we welcomed Willow for her very first try of Archery and we also welcomed Steve Berzel as our newest member.

14.01.2022 A cold and windy morning greeted our archers on Saturday. But we still welcomed 5 new archers. Despite the conditions they all did very well, and two of our young experienced archers decided to shoot the field course, which gave some protection from the wind. The following Saturday, we had a birthday shoot for Felix, which was also attended by his father, Paul and Jethro, and our normal archers. A few of the balloons and chip packets proved to be allusive targets during this fun shoot. Don‘t forget, we shoot each Saturday morning and Sunday mornings by appointment. Soon we will be commencing a late afternoon shoot Friday’s from 4.30pm. We also a part of the Sports Voucher Scheme so if not claimed previously in a year, the $100 can be claimed for membership fees or equipment.

09.01.2022 We are now a provider for the Sports Vouchers Program!!! Contact us NOW What is the Sports Vouchers program?... The Sports Vouchers program is a Government of South Australia initiative administered by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. The program provides an opportunity for primary school aged children from Reception to Year 7 to receive up to a $100 discount on sports or dance membership/registration fees. The purpose is to increase the number of children playing organised sport or participating in dance activities by reducing cost as a barrier. Who is eligible for the program? All South Australian primary school aged children, meaning if the child is attending or is eligible to attend primary school (Reception to Year 7, even if Year 7 is based at a high school). Remember it is one voucher for every primary school aged child per calendar year.

05.01.2022 Eva's first try at clout. Clout is shot in many countries around the world although Archery Australia shoots a unique style of clout. Clout Archery is traditional archery event having its roots back to medieval archery when archers would lob their arrows onto advancing armies. Clout archery is shot over long ranges with distances up to 180m depending upon equipment that is used. The target is laid flat on the ground and archers shot their arrows into the air attempting to land the arrows in the target.

03.01.2022 We welcomed Ariana to the club today. Kylie Vender and Eva Trevarthen have now moved up to Blue 20 in the Oz Bow program. Grace Kelliher and Mason Florance shot well but had a little trouble with the wind and their light poundage bows. well done to all our archers this weekend.

We just want to come along and try archery with no commitments. Learn archery in a safe and fun environment. Suitable for most ages, 8 upwards to infinity and all types of strengths. 02.01.2022 Another wonderful day for archery with 5 archers joining us. The field course is a huge hit with all ages, and the swinging target is proving to be not as hard as it looks. We are shooting Saturday and Sunday mornings, and other times be appointment. First shoot free for August and as it has been so popular, with have also included September. Archery is suited for most ages and physical capabilities. We will match you to the bow and teach you to use the correct muscle groups....
