25.01.2022 This is my latest effort for our garden Itchy Palms Gardens 7. Daisy Walk Come get some ideas for your garden https://youtu.be/IvsTdAU0e38

25.01.2022 Thanks Peter and Julie for your generosity with all the plants and extra bits from your garden. Thanks also to Paul for transforming something old and tired into a beautiful garden feature yet again.

24.01.2022 It’s official. Itchy Palms Gardens now has an authentic Lightning Tree. We witnessed the strike while watching the storm from the veranda. It was like a missile struck! Very scary! At first we assumed it hit the neighbours windmill and retreated to the safety of inside. Lucky no one was killed or a fire didn’t start. In the morning Paul reported to me that it was OUR gum. On inspection debris had been blown 40meters from the tree. There is a large fatal crack right down the trunk and massive sheets of bark over 2metres long littered the ground as well as quite thick branches. We’ve tidied up but both think the old wind blown gum’s days are numbered.

20.01.2022 Most base work done on the jetty now we just need some wet stuff.

18.01.2022 Paul is almost finished the new jetty top. It’s been a massive job and he only fell in the dam once Thanks so much Paul. We are looking forward to showing all you keen garden lovers all our improvements since last Open Garden. It is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday the 12th & 13th of December 2020. Two days only. Save the date.

18.01.2022 New one way window in outdoor dunny.

12.01.2022 A glimpse into our Gold Garden. Those years of hard work are worth it!

12.01.2022 Time for our jetty Reno. Waters down but hopefully once Paul replaces the last posts the heavens will open. Then it’s just a new top

09.01.2022 Finally a full dam

09.01.2022 Work on our new jetty top is full steam ahead. Paul has only fallen in the dam once so far.

07.01.2022 Here’s some close ups of Paul’s masterpiece. All possible because of Philip Whittle and Steve Johnson. Many thanks.

07.01.2022 Yes. Those naked ladies are strutting their stuff again. Gorgeous performance and divine scent.

04.01.2022 Thanks Paul for our beautiful new sculpture and special thanks to Steve Johnson and Philip Whittle for supply of some of the raw materials. Good friends who we really appreciate.

04.01.2022 Our Open Garden is fast approaching. This year we are teaming up with the Strathfieldsaye Lions Club who will be assisting at the gate. We would love to see you there so please save the date. We will have a motor bike display and a few stalls but sorry no eftpos so don’t forget to bring cash. And yes we have plenty of hand sanitizer to go round. No refreshments this year due to covid-19 but plenty of room for social distancing. Looking forward to seeing you there.

03.01.2022 Sitting out under the stars in front of our new fire pit listening to Elle King after a days work in the garden. Bliss.

03.01.2022 One thing better than enjoying your garden in the daylight is enjoying it in the night time over a meal and with a glass of wine

01.01.2022 Autumn is here.
