23.01.2022 Look in the mirror. Open your mouth slowly. Do you see your jaw shift to the left or the right? If so chances are you're using your jaw as a compensator.



23.01.2022 Vibrams/ flat shoes are a great tool. But you need to ease into them as with everything else. Exerience the 26+ bones and 33 joints in your foot as you walk around barefoot. Every few millimeters you get closer to the ground alters your gait mechanics from your head to your toes. Progress slowly and you'll improve quickly. If you've been in tight high backed shoes you're whole life it takes about 6 months of walking barefooted before you should even think about running in a minimalist shoe. So start with a wider lower shoe and slowly make your way into a flat shoe. Your body will thank you but take your time as you reconnect with the ground. And as always if you're having trouble/ pain in your (hopefully) 10,000 steps a day see someone who knows about gait.

22.01.2022 Well well well what do we have here... lower back pain and weak lateral hip stabilisers. Have knee pain as well? If you can't stabilise the hips what happens to what's directly above and below? The knees and lower back have to compensate. Come in and get assessed!
