25.01.2022 WHAT IS AXILLARY HYPERHIDROSIS? Axillary hyperhidrosis, the medical term for excessive underarm sweating, can be an annoying and embarrassing condition for those people who suffer from it. Botulinum toxin injections, best known for their anti-wrinkle actions, can also be used to treat excessive underarm sweating. ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENTS FOR EXCESSIVE UNDERARM SWEATING... Anticholinergic medications, by blocking the parasympathtic nervous system, can help to control sweating within 2 weeks. In general (this will depend on the patient’s structure and wishes of course) asian patients prefer more filler to their front cheeks and caucasian patients prefer more outer cheeks. This isn’t every case, but it is a common distinction.
