16.01.2022 Trevor and Lorraine loved our Jacksons Walk-In Camper from the moment they saw it. Its been a long time in storage waiting for their visit, and now their Hilux is finally complete! What a great looking vehicle!

10.01.2022 Greg and Debbie had their cruiser built by us around 12 months ago, with all the fruit from @jacksons4x4 and our fully welded aluminium tray. Now they are back across the border again to pick up their new Jacksons Hard Lid! Happy travels guys! #jacksonsbuilt 08 8531 2700 [email protected] http://carrymecamper.com.au... 10.01.2022 We built Adam his canopy for work last year, and he stopped by to have a ladder added to it. Still looking mint mate! #jacksonsbuilt 08 8531 2700 [email protected] http://carrymecamper.com.au... Made in Murray Bridge South Australia See more

07.01.2022 Simpson Desert Crossing Nov 2020 Day 3 Marree to Alberga River With the Exodus all packed down and securely stowed away behind the pub for a week or so we set off toward Mt Dare knowing it was going to be a warm one. First stop, the desert sculptures around the Alberrie Creek area, then on to Lake Eyre South and Curdimurka. We’ve been up and down this road a number of times and find ourselves becoming a little blaze’ about the drive forgetting our traveling companions probabl...y haven’t been this way before, so a conscious effort is made to take our time and have a bit more of a look around. With a diversion off the main track into mound springs and another to check out the Beresford ruins and rather impressive dam. It was nearing lunch time, with the temperature climbing towards 40, we were back in the cars and on the road as the lure of a cold drink in the iconic William Creek Pub was calling. Lunch done and the obligatory bar refreshments consumed it was time to continue north, stopping for a look around the Algebuckina Bridge and waterhole much to the delight of the local mosquito population! With the temp now reaching 42 degrees it was onto Oodnadatta for fuel, a cold drink and maybe an Ice-cream. We set off north again having been given a tip by a local for a potential camp for me, when a local gives you a tip on a good spot I believe it’s always a good idea to check it out even if it’s simply to file away in the memory bank for another trip. Being a bit short on kms for the day, and as it was still pretty warm, we decided to continue further north towards our planned camp in the bed of the Alberga River. #jacksonsbuilt 08 8531 2700 [email protected] https://carrymecamper.com.au Made in Murray Bridge South Australia

07.01.2022 We get lots of people asking whether they should chop a Land Cruiser 200 and build it up to carry the weight that a Land Cruiser 79 can, or build a 79 up to be as comfortable as a 200. Steve and Narelle went the 200 path with impressive results. Have a look at that! What would you do? #jacksonsbuilt 08 8531 2700... 04.01.2022 Simpson Desert Crossing Nov 2020 Day 2 Terrapinna Springs to Marree. After a bit of a sleep in and a late breaky, we packed up camp and set off on the walking trail over the range above the springs and were rewarded with awesome views of the ranges, waterways and an abundance of flowers. Back to the ute ready to hit the road enroute for Marree and a short day in the car but the road out to Lyndhurst had been effected by the recent rains requiring reasonable care negotiating ...the many washouts, making for slow going. This particular section of road highlighting the difference between towing and not, with the towing vehicle needing to take much more care easing in and out of the sharp washouts and tighter sections. With the slower going we hadn’t travelled as far as planned before lunch, so decided to stop under some big old gums in a creek I knew of a little further up the road but to my amazement the beautiful old gums lining the creek were totally devoid of any leaves. So we pushed on a little further finding some shade and respite from the early afternoon sun in a creek bed just before hitting the Strez. A quick visit to Farina and then onto Marree for the night as the plan was to leave Grant and Jodies camper there for the duration of our Simpson crossing. #jacksonsbuilt 08 8531 2700 [email protected] https://carrymecamper.com.au Made in Murray Bridge South Australia
