25.01.2022 LIGHT FIXED This street lights job is light up the entrance to the park at Stoneleigh Reserve. Concerned local Brian let me know it hasnt been working for years!... It needed to be fixed so we got it fixed. Great to see it lighting up the park and making it a safer place to enjoy. Thanks Brian! - Jacob

The government wants us to stay at home as much. 22.01.2022 DOG PARKS ARE OPEN! All the dog parks in our city were reopened today. The government has a plan to ease coronavirus restrictions over the next few months.... Dont forget, playgrounds and other park facilities including barbecues, exercise equipment, skate bowls and pump tracks remain closed in accordance with the latest health advisories. Keep safe.

18.01.2022 HIGHWAY UPGRADES The state government has secured $37.5 million in funding to continue upgrading the Mt Lindesay Highway. The governments plan is to widen sections of the highway from 2 lanes to 4 lanes. ... Work between Rosia Rd & Stoney Camp Rd is currently being completed. Work between Stoney Camp Rd & Chambers Flat Rd has been funded. Its an important state government project and its great to see. Ill keep you updated. - Jacob

The coronavirus restrictions cancelled the services this ANZAC day so we all had to honor those who have sacrificed from our own homes. 13.01.2022 ROAD UPGRADE Great to see this intersection upgrade delivered! Thousands of commuters use Logan Reserve Road everyday.... The intersection between Logan Reserve Rd and Stoneleigh Reserve Blvd needed to be fixed. The upgraded intersection will improve traffic flow and keep our streets safe. Let there be light! - Jacob

11.01.2022 ELECTION UPDATE Promising numbers are coming in! A third of the votes in Division 8 have been unofficially counted.... The results so far put me in the lead at 52% with the other candidates at 21%, 12%, 9% and 6%. This is a great sign for our campaign but there is still a long way to go. There are still thousands of votes to be counted with the official results not expected for at least a few days. I will keep you posted. - Jacob
11.01.2022 BIG CHANGES The Crestmead Industrial Estate is being built on the corner of Green Rd and Clarke Rd. Its a big change for the area. This development went forward before my time at council.... Good news for locals is that: Trees will be on site for a natural barrier with drainage. Green Rd will be upgraded around the development. A new road will be built that continues down Rai Drive with two intersection upgrades. Great to be joined by Cameron Dick MP, Darren Power - Mayor of Logan City, Jon Raven - Deputy Mayor of Logan and Linus Power on location today. Its expected that up to 6000 jobs will be created. 06.01.2022 NEW LONG WEEKEND There will be a new long weekend in August this year! The public holiday is being moved from Monday 10th to Friday 14th.... A long weekend will promote day trips and boost local business. The change has already been made in Brisbane and we are waiting on the State Government to make the final sign off in Logan. They should give it the go ahead soon. Looking forward to it!

05.01.2022 MASSIVE CLOSURES The government has announced some major closures. From midday, all restaurants and cafes will only offer takeaway.... The following businesses will be closed: Pubs Clubs Cinemas Casinos Churches Gyms Indoor sporting venues The following will be left open: Schools (parents can withdraw their kids) Supermarkets Pharmacies Petrol stations Bottle shops Banks Hairdressers Food delivery The government has said that it will be at least six months before things go back to normal. We will all be affected by this. There will be cut hours, health scares and a lot of change. The government has a support package that will hopefully cushion the blow.
