22.01.2022 It’s rare that you have clients turn a full 180 on a brief, but it does happen and this week I had two! So I’ve decided to show the jobs via a case study and set these beauties to rest; as they will now be filed away into the archives.

18.01.2022 Thanks to Josh @brisvegasfishing for the opportunity to create his new branding! Josh is ready to take the next step with his YouTube channel, needing a more professional look - logo, apparel, stickers etc. The fish depicted is the Threadfin Salmon, his favorite catch from the Brisbane River.... Photos: chosen logo and competition fishing shirt design, badge/sticker - all including his YouTube catch phrases. Last photo shows the alternative option when presenting designs. Two very diverse styles presented.

16.01.2022 CASE STUDY 2: Client: N/A (The name of this client has been taken off the designs as the brand is yet to be launched). Key words extracted from the brief: coral, organic, illustrated, contemporary. Secondary requests: layered, textured Colour palette: coral, mint, lemon... The creative journey with this client has recently taken a full turn in direction and is currently in progress the visuals featured are *conceptual illustrations following the initial brief, not the actual logos. The idea was to not only create a logo but also a complimentary illustration that could be used to print on clothing/bags/products etc. Conclusion: This client had a very clear vision of what they wanted coral. However, even though they loved the concepts presented, it also made it clear that their brief needed changing to better suit their product. Not all is lost we have an adjusted colour palette, fonts and the concept of textures/layering that can be salvaged. Stay tuned!

16.01.2022 This was a logo created for a mobile diesel mechanic, that has now been applied to their work van. Advanced Fleet Services Pty Ltd wanted a unique brand that was bold, simple and graphic. You won't miss this brand on the road!

14.01.2022 CASE STUDY 1: Client: Hair and beauty salon Key words extracted from the brief: monogram, elegant, floral bouquet, boho vintage. Secondary requests: Small mix of flowers, pops of colour. Colour palette: yellow/burnt orange, blue/purple... Taking a clear brief and teasing out the clients vision is an integral part of my job, however in doing so can also make the client question if what they envision is really right for their brand. Sometimes a client hasn’t even asked themselves key brand questions and part of our collaboration is to discover what ‘voice’ is best for their business. The style of this mark was not my usual, so it was a pleasant experience crafting something more ‘feminine’. The client was presented 3 very different logos to choose from, however the design featured hit the mark and answered all of their requirements. Conclusion: The artwork was released, business cards printed and signage options commenced however, the client began looking for a wallpaper pattern on Pinterest, to suit the new fit out of the salon, and they saw a ‘mandala faux gold print’ which caused an immediate change of direction. As quick as that the logo was laid to rest RIP. Of course if the client is happy then I am happy too! Thank you to ‘Shangri-La’ for taking me on another creative journey.

10.01.2022 QuickVac Cleaning Services wanted to break into the corporate world and attract larger, professional clients so they needed an up-market design to represent their business. With a play on the Q and V from their name, the V also worked as a 'tick' representing quality service. Clean vector artwork also transferred well onto embroidered uniforms. Below are the 3 designs presented, with the client loving the first option.
