21.01.2022 The Reserve Bank has cut interest rates for the first time since August 2016. The historic move was announced by RBA governor Phillip Lowe this afternoon, ending weeks of frenzied speculation. The announcement means the cash rate will be slashed by 25 basis points, from a record low of 1.5 per cent.... It now sits at a brand new record low of 1.25 per cent.
