24.01.2022 TODAYS WEDDING / Sam and Tahlia got married today under the trees over looking the vineyards up in McLaren Vale at Wood Stock Wines Estate. Two people clearly so in love in a very intimate setting with their close friends and family. We played their ceremony, canapés and reception, and we loved every moment! 23.01.2022 {Tegan & Tom} We played Tegan & Tom’s Engagement Party last night and what a vibe! Tegan is from Canada and at a point in the party Jake and I got to announce that there was a surprise video for her from her family and friends all the way from Canada who couldn’t make it to Australia due to Covid and the travel restrictions. Her family members messages were sweet and it clearly touched both Tegan and Tom. There is no doubt that their love for each other is sweet and it wa...s reflective in the lovely family and friends of theirs that we met last night! (He could’ve been cause he knows that many people but ya know what I mean). He has this beautiful ability to make you feel like he’s known you forever because he truely and deeply cares for everyone he meets. He loves people, he’s the funniest guy I’ve ever met, he’s one talented human being and he is the most hard working person I know. 19.01.2022 {Weddings are in full swing and we’re feeling shiny about it} We are so pleased for our couples that restrictions have loosened. Let’s take a minute to remember when weddings in SA were restricted to 5 people. Now in SA we are blessed to be allowed 150 guests with drinking AND dancing. This is incredible news for so many of our friends owning small businesses in this industry, from our favourite celebrants to our favourite photographers and videographers, we are so happy for you and can’t wait to see you around this season! 17.01.2022 This is a really scary time for a lot of us in the current world climate. There is no doubt in saying that COVID-19 has shaken us personally but it also talking its toll on small business owners who rely on gatherings and crowds to run. Whether you’re a vendor like us and you own your own small business, we’re here for you and our heart breaks for you right now. If you are getting married within the next few months, it’s hard to know what to do when we’re met with uncerta...inty but we’re standing with you. If you do choose to postpone your wedding, we understand, commend and support you in putting others health before yourselves. We are still your musicians for your big day even if you need to postpone, we want to work with you to find a date that we can make happen even if it is further down the track when everything has calmed down. We’re in this together and we want to find a solution that supports everyone involved! If you have a wedding booked with us, don’t hesitate to reach out and chat with us. We know you brides and grooms are feeling it right now and we’re more than happy to chat over email or organise a video chat to support each other and work out where we need to go from here. 15.01.2022 The generous talented and oh so kind @jacquileopardicelebrant contacted Jake and I a short while ago asking us if we would be her supplier of the month for May. (Click the link in our bio to read!). I played one of my first weddings with Jacqui when I started out in the wedding industry when I was just 16 years old and I was so impressed by how she conducted the ceremony and how intimately and beautifully she shared the about the soon- to- be weds love story! I then when... on to play many more weddings with Jacqui and every ceremony she conducted was pure magic. I then played a wedding about a year ago after I started our business @jakeandamymusic and I was able to introduce her to Jake!! She was so supportive of our new business venture as a couple and it meant so much to us, and still does now! We are absolutely thrilled to be her supplier of the month. Anything this leading lady does is gold. She is just fantastic, she is my supplier of all time. This is all a part of ou...r Ceremony Package. This moments is pure joy, celebration and good vibes from everyone. This is the gorgeous, Tahlia and Sam. We loved working with these guys up until the big day last weekend. These two sure know the importance of friendships, family and business. We workshop your aisle walk song with you in the months leading up to your wedding. A handful of our favourites of ours are, Can’t Help Falling In Love - Elvis, Halo - Beyonce, The One - Kodaline and Make You Feel My Love - Adele. We also love when a co...uple has their song that has been special throughout their relationship that they couldn’t imagine their big day without, and we’re so happy to learn them. Shavaun and Scott are the coolest, most fun, kindest couple we’ve had the pleasure of working with and wish we could play their wedding all over again! 13.01.2022 TAYLOR & MATTHEW My goodness, these two.. where do I start? From the moment I spoke to Taylor via email at the very beginning of her wedding planning, I could see a kind hearted girl, driven but empathetic, organised with an eye for what she wanted on her big day! We met Taylor and Matthew for some drinks at a bar a few weeks ago after talking to Taylor on email for so long! We became like friends instantly and the love they had for each other was so evident. Yesterday,... arriving at Waverly Estate for their wedding felt like walking into a blush pink and white dream. Waverly was styled to the nines with not a detail left untouched, every thing was considered and thought of. Their guests made us feel so welcomed and loved which is a true reflection of who Taylor and Matt are as a couple. Their friends radiate the same love they do and it’s so easy to see. When Taylor walked down the aisle people gasped, she was the most stunning bride and GURL, I can’t get over that dress!!! As per Taylor and Matt’s request we played ‘Electricity’ by Dua Lipa for her walk down the aisle. Taylor loved the lyrics of this song, they held meaning to her and Matt which made it extra special to be able to sing for them for such a big moment in their life. Later in the night we played ‘Latch’ by Sam Smith for Taylor and Matt’s first dance which was an incredibly intimate moment, and they were soon joined on the dance floor by the friends and family that have supported them throughout their relationship. A gorgeous moment to be a part of. Congratulations to the gorgeous M & T, you guys are so lovely, kind, thoughtful and considerate and we had the best time playing for you on your big day. Thank you so much for allowing us to share in your joy on the day and bring the toons to the ceremony and the d floor! You guys deserve all of the happiness in the world x
11.01.2022 / 3 Hour Package \ Our three hour package is a crowd favourite. It allows you to choose when we’re playing and how that looks, with some guidance from us of course! Much like the ‘Ceremony and Canapes’ package, included is a short set peformed live by us, 30 minutes prior to guests arriving, and your ceremony music. Additionally, in the 3 hour package you have the option of us playing 2x45 minute sets across the first two hours of your canapes OR 2x45 minute sets ...across your reception before your DJ starts up later in the night. This package also includes your first dance song learned and performed live by us, which is optional but recommended. Also, as a bonus we will even have our sound system available for speeches and formality announcments within the time frame that we’re there. 10.01.2022 Our hearts are heavy. Hello beautiful ones. With last nights address from our PM weddings are restricted to 5 people only. The couple, the celebrant and two witnesses. Unless you want Jake and I to be your witnesses (Jacqui Leopardi Celebrant thanks for this little laugh that brightened our night) ....we can’t play at your wedding as of right now. ... It so hard to do what we know is right when it feels so wrong. It feels so unfair for our beautiful couples to have to re plan a wedding they have dreamed up for months. You can still get legally married but if you want your wedding the way you dreamed up, our advice is to postpone to a later date. We all need to band together, rest, stay at home and when all the dust has settled we want to sing you into forever at the wedding you’ve always wanted. Until then, we’re sending you love and hugs until we can again in person. 07.01.2022 SA couples, we’re on the road to recovery! Keep an eye out over the next month to hopefully see even greater improvements towards a return to normality. We miss being out at your weddings, celebrating your love with you, there’s nothing else that brings us more joy. We cannot wait to get back there very soon. 05.01.2022 J & A - Cover of I Want to Hold Your Hand - The Beatles Many of our couples ask us to send them footage of us playing at weddings live to hear what our sound is like and how it can add to their special day. This song is played live by us. It’s ‘I want to hold your hand’ by The Beatles and Scott and Shavaun asked us to learn it for Shavauns walk down the aisle. What a teary moment it was for all! ... 05.01.2022 / Ceremony & Canapes Package \ Our Ceremony & Canapes package is our most popular package amongst our couples. This package includes so much musical goodness to bring that magic feeling to your day. We play 30 minutes prior to the ceremony while your guests are arriving and while they take their seats. This sets a beautiful mood for the ceremony before it takes place and before the brides arrival. Your ceremony music is then performed live by us. Your aisle song, a s...ong that’s played whilst you sign the papers and a song that’s a little more upbeat for your walk back down the aisle after you’ve just married the love of your life! After this, your guests mingle, drink and nibble while you go and get photos with your photographer. While you do this we will be playing a set to entertain your guests and help to keep spirits high while you two go off and be models for a bit! From the moment your guests start to roll in to your wedding until the moment they walk into the reception we have you covered!
