23.01.2022 2018 has seen a new Advance Care Nurse Call System installed at James Milson Village. Using the very latest in electronic and IP technologies this powerful system has been built for reliability and with the future in mind. It has been recognized as one of the most advanced Nurse Call Systems, with built-in real time tracking. We have been able to accomplish the installation of our new Advance Nurse Call System with minimum disruption to residents due to the involvement of our team, vendors and contractors who actively supported our on-boarding project.

20.01.2022 The staff and residents of James Milson Village had a great morning yesterday holding our Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for cancer. While the cups of tea flowed, our raffles and donations raise $1500 for this worthwhile cause.

What a wonderful night!! The food was amazing and the lights were spectacular. Everyone had a great night.

Our village is open to the community with visitors, staff, contractors and volunteers freely coming and going. However, the security and safety of our reside...nts is still our priority. 2018 has seen a major upgrade of our CCTV technology with our entire system being replaced and additional cameras placed in communal areas.

08.01.2022 James Milson Villages structured cabling system supports telecommunication and broadband to the entire village. Our system connects individual rooms and offices to the fibre optic network. The introduction of this internal system makes audio-visual communication possible with fewer interruptions and less downtime than our previous network. Structured cabling is vital to seamless communication and networking. In the years to come, by all predictions, technology will shape... all kinds of industries and Aged Care is no different. This upgrade provides a platform for a host of new services, tele-medicine, remote health monitoring and video conferencing for independent residents. Our focus was to improve connectivity, which is an important component of improving quality of life for our residents.

05.01.2022 James Milson Village is committed to providing exceptional services to our residents and delivering a better experience, today and tomorrow. With the introduction of the NBN and our new Nurse Call System, James Milson Village took advantage of the installation of cabling across our village to install WIFI Access Points to each of our Independent Living Units and across our Residential Care Home. James Milson Village wanted to utilize WIFI tablets for our new medication systems. Our care staff, administration, doctors and pharmacy require fast, efficient communications and access to clinical information in real-time. A lot of our residents have children and grandchildren who live across Australia and around the world. Our new WIFI connectivity will allow better access to Skype calls for families to stay touch.

04.01.2022 New Aged Care Quality Standards come into effect from 1st July 2019. Each Standard says what you, the consumer, can expect from JMV. There are eight standards, and each one is about an aspect of care that contributes to your safety, health and well being.
