25.01.2022 We get called out to many different jobs. Fires, accidents, alarms, searches etc. But today was our first Camel rescue. One of the 5 slipped down an embankment ...& had to be assisted (6 people pulling & pushing 1 stubborn beast) back along the track. Its saddle & many kilos of gear hauled up then carried out of the bush. Camel ok, owner ok, rescuets ok. A few "bumps" along the way. Nice cold beer when we got home because a mans not a camel! Credit also the the Jamieson CFA as the main responders and first on scene. Jamieson Community Jamieson Fire Brigade

23.01.2022 As we are all home, I'm sure like myself, we are catching up on our pruning and yard work before the warm weather comes around. Whilst it is permitted to burn off, please remember to always register your burn off by calling the number below. Your local CFA members thank you in advance :)

23.01.2022 A timely reminder for all of us at home cranking through the fire wood supplies as we brave the Spring storms. Don't forget to check your flues and chimneys when we get a little warm spell.

19.01.2022 A combination of brigade members and other locals turned out over the last 2 days to reduce fuel loads before the upcoming fire season. This working bee was at the Jamieson Rec Reserve which is home to our green waste and occasional events but is especially important as the Jamieson staging area in the event of a major bushfire or incident. Burning the green waste always requires a good plan, and a back-up plan, not to mention calling the Book-a-Burn number. Sometimes it'll take hold quickly; other times, it takes hours of encouragement. This year's timing was perfect, clear calm weather on day 1 with rain forecast for the 2nd day. 17.01.2022 Some pics from the Roadside Vegetation Management works at Paradise Point this week. This, together with a community engagement exercise was a collaboration of CFA and Safer Together with contribution from the Mansfield Shire Council. Thank you to all involved in this proactive effort.

08.01.2022 Great news! The planned roadside vegetation management and mulching program for Paradise Point is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 19th January (Fire Danger Rating and conditions dependant). Our Brigade Community Safety Coordinator, Jess will be visiting properties in the area over the next week with some information for property owners.

02.01.2022 As we welcome all Victorians back to the high country, please take note and be sure to register your burn off :)

01.01.2022 More pics from the roadside fuel reduction at Paradise Point this week. Note the before and after on the Old Eildon Rd. We can now easily get our appliances down to access water if necessary.
