25.01.2022 GAIN Inc. fundraiser, celebrating 20 years!

24.01.2022 Thought I’d spoil the fam with some takeaway last night, but it’s hard to call this kind of delish takeaway, at the gourmet restaurant level the Travelling Snack Restaurant is! Beautiful watching the sunset behind the rain & talking to Nic about his ideas to improve Lions Lookout Lesmurdie for tourists & locals alike. Proud to have known Nic since he was a kid & have a huge amount of respect for the advocacy work he’s done in this space. Do yourself a favour & visit this weekend.

22.01.2022 Really enjoyed the The Drop’s new menu tonight! Fire was cranking, lots of familiar faces & good mates. Perfect place to be on a night like tonight!

21.01.2022 Looking forward to working with this great group of women. Want to come & meet them? Come along to the Australian Local Government Womens Association Western Australian Branch’s boat cruise next Friday! DM me if you would like to know more.

Maybe you have it and don’t need it and can pass it on to them or have a connection to get it?... 15.01.2022 This time last year, I was pounding the pavement, seeking your support. I promised you honesty, integrity & commitment to community. There is not a day where this is not at the forefront of my mind in the work I do. Community is everything to me, please keep engaging, I’ve really appreciated your input so far.

15.01.2022 Representing the City of Kalamunda at the Western Australian Local Government Association Annual General Meeting.

14.01.2022 Lisa Cooper Councillor for City of Kalamunda North West Ward is collecting old clean towels, I will take some to Council on Tuesday, have you got any you’d like to add too??

14.01.2022 So much fun! Have you found a fairy yet??

13.01.2022 Around this time last year City of Kalamunda’s Purple Bench was opened. Funded by Matthew Hughes Member for Kalamunda, created by Kalamunda Mens Shed, it found a home next to Kalamunda Libraries (Railway road). It was opened by the Hon Simone McGurk MLA & I was honoured to read my sister, Renee Pettitt-Schipp’s poem Standing Under Stars from her book The Sky Runs Right Through Us, winner of the Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards which can be seen here. COVID-19 has... been very triggering for many, and unfortunately, this is reflected in domestic violence abuse statistics with deaths doubling over lockdown. If you know of anyone who needs help, please refer them to the contacts in the photo below. #purplebenchproject #kalamunda #domesticviolence #domesticabuse #emotionalabuse #abuse #mentalhealth

05.01.2022 On the 100th year of Women in Government, we now recognise Susan Ryan. What a loss, but what a legacy! You’ll always be remembered. She was of her community for her community.

04.01.2022 Have you been to Alan Anderson Park recently?? Now the weather is behaving like November, you can bring the family down for a game of table tennis or a play in the park. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to say this politely, but do BYO balls! BBQ is being installed soon! Thanks to the City of Kalamunda project team who worked hard to make this happen.
