12.01.2022 Electric vehicles are the future of personal transport. Yet Victoria is trying to put a tax on electric vehicles, knowing that this will slow our shift to EVs and put the handbrake on reducing our transport emissions. It's just not smart. And this comes at a time when all other OECD countries are doing the opposite - they're implementing policies, including exempting EVs from taxes, to make cleaner cars more affordable and accessible for everyone. Instead, we have the Victor...ian and South Australian state governments making it harder and pushing people towards polluting alternatives. Governments should be phasing out the internal combustion engine, not putting taxes on its cleaner competitors.

02.01.2022 Well over 450 First Nations people have died since the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in custody thirty years ago. It’s well past time for this country to face the reality of what our deeply racist systems are doing to the First Nations people of this country - the most incarcerated people on Earth. This is a matter of life and death. The Morrison government must act to implement the full recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody and end the over-imprisonment of First Nations people in the criminal legal system.
