21.01.2022 Hi there. Very excited to have finished this custom order for a client in Western Australia. It will be in the post today. The order came from a yellow rose I embroided previously and the client loves red roses. - https://bit.ly/2I2nDSW . The red rose has a bee and butterfly added to enhance and balance the work. Its a 3D threadpainting with stump work. The treads are silk, cotton metalic with a patterned cotton fabric as the backing.

15.01.2022 Very grateful to have had a weekend away with H and his immediate family. Have many commissions for hand embroidery at the moment so was working on one while away. Its a red rose ...thread painted with stump work for a client in Western Australia.
14.01.2022 It's been a busy week Easter week. Getting some more therapy for my right knee, painting our new front fence and of course working on my next project. More about that below. Amazingly my Orthopedic Surgeon told me this week that I cant see him for six months. The reason? ... he is packing up his family (wife and three kids) into a newly purchased caravan and touring around Australia. How about that for following your heart!!!! I know about that...no rules , no shoulds and no boundaries. This week started on one of my four new embroidery commissions. ... "three magpies". I am working on the birds separately then I will applique` them to the finished backing fabric. This is a magpie that I feed daily. It comes to greet me most mornings & afternoon for his mince. His eyes, so knowing, so wary, but so gentle. Just love magpies.
08.01.2022 Thought I would share with you the Embroidery that was most popular (Tree of Life) at the Art Connect show. It sold and very excited to have received two commissions to create like pieces. As I limit repeats of work to three there will be no further Tree's of Life. However the next most popular piece was Pelican Play. I have one commission so still time to order a similar piece for yourself or as a gift. Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time. Thomas Merton
