22.01.2022 Janelle here! Just thought I’d pop by and share one of my favourite photos. BIS Supreme Grand Champion Japatina Dream Big Or Go Home Thomas, Champion Japatina Make Way For Da Rogue Rogue, RUBIS Champion Japatina The Devil Wears Prada Prada and Champion Emdee Xmas Angel Angel enjoying the pet life while show season is on hold due to COVID! Looking forward to getting back out there with the team! Hopefully I (Janelle) will be able to fly home soon and see my babies! Th...anks to my amazing parents for taking such amazing care of my 4 while I’m doing my post grad in Perioperative Nursing in Melbourne. So much for visiting them every 4-8 weeks as planned. COVID really has thrown a spanner in the works. We hope that all our followers and owners are safe and well! Especially those of you in Victoria. Stay safe and remember to keep social distancing! Cheers, Janelle and the crew from Japatina Kennels!

20.01.2022 Life with Rogue

19.01.2022 This little guy, Tiny Tim, is a bundle of energy! Not scared of the bigger dogs at all. Just took everything in his stride!

19.01.2022 Janelle here! Thanks to Melbourne opening up again and Laura living close by - I was able to spend the afternoon with Laura and Xena. Xena is a mindDog, who is bred by Japatina Kennels. We are super proud of everything this little dog has achieved and all the good she has done for Laura and other people! Xena can go anywhere with Laura - including flying in the cabin of a plane. This little dog has further convinced me that Australian silky terriers can achieve just about anything! I am all about dogs doing what they love and having a job. This is why we encourage people to do obedience with their silky terriers. Silkys love to use their brains and they love to please!

18.01.2022 I am a dog breeder. I spend a lifetime learning pedigrees, going over dogs, talking, and learning from those in my breed and those outside it. I raise each litter as if I gave birth to them and spend an equal amount of time finding them loving forever homes. I only put puppies on this planet that I think will be the healthiest (mentally and physically) and nicest examples of their breed. I support each family who chose one of my puppies and let them know they are now a part o...f our extended family. I am there if one needs to come back and will aggressively pursue the return of one of my dogs if it's in the wrong place. I support my breed in rescue and education. I hold them when they arrive and leave this world. I share my knowledge and socialize my dogs so that they will be an advertisement of my dedication. I don't keep track of the money and time I put in to my love of dogs, it would not be a true measure of how I feel. The price I charge for my puppies is never profit, but investment in the next generation. I am not ashamed of who I am... I work hard at being a good dog person and encouraging others to be the same. I am a breeder and I am proud of it. If we don't support each other - we are doomed as a fancy. Copy and post if you are a proud registered breeder. See more

16.01.2022 Young Billy (aka Minty) is settling into his new home super well. He has two rotties to protect him

15.01.2022 People wanting puppies please note! You need to apply through Private Message telling about yourself and home; whether you have a back yard or not; why you want a Silky Terrier; and where your Silky will live and fit into your life. We Do Not make a decision on pets or show quality until they are 8 weeks old! They do not leave here until 12 weeks when they are fully vaccinated! There is a WAITING LIST. Not everyone will get one as they are not a commodity or a toy. We do not take deposits!

14.01.2022 The Australian silky terrier is so interesting in how it’s colour develops over its life time. Below are photos of BIS Supreme Champion Japatina Dream Big Or Go Home Thomas from a baby puppy in 2013 until now. Silky terriers are like a box of chocolates in terms of their colour. You never know what you are going to get (it’s at least going to be blue ).

14.01.2022 Following on from my previous post about colour development in the Australian Silky Terrier. Here is RUBIS Ch Japatina The Devil Wears Prada Prada from a baby puppy in 2016 until now. Prada is Janelle Waddington’s pride and joy. Prada is from BIS Supreme Ch Japatina Dream Big Or Go Home Thomas and Ch Emdee Xmas Angel Angel. Fun fact! ... Thomas was born on Easter Sunday and Angel was born on Christmas Day - this resulted in a litter born on the 06/06/2016 (666). And yes Prada was a devil of a puppy but she is a very showy little dog who has done exceptionally well in the show ring for a compact 4.5kg silky terrier! See more

10.01.2022 Big Boy walking sedately and Tiny Tim racing around.

07.01.2022 Definitely unplanned but very welcome! These little ones arrived last week from Japatina Louis Armstrong and Champion Japatina Omega Ruby. One girl and 2 boys.

07.01.2022 Just saw this on a silky group and thought it will be useful to share!

07.01.2022 Reposting since the image didn't show up the first time. This is: Origins Entry in National Purebred Dog Day Fine Art/Poster Competition 2021

06.01.2022 Ruby’s little surprise pack are 2 weeks old today. The big boy at the front has more than tripled his birth weight putting on 66g yesterday. Little girl under mum has her eyes open and the other little boy is starting to open his.

06.01.2022 We had our first bath and groom ready for our vaccinations. Tiny Tim standing with head cocked; girl standing not sure about the table and Hulky who was the best to bath and groom did not want to stand

06.01.2022 Taking photos by oneself isn’t easy. Left is our big boy; top with paw in the air is Tiny Tim and bottom is our little girl.

05.01.2022 Almost 4 weeks old. Just eaten though they walked through it and spread it around as well. The big boy has been vocal like this for over a week!

05.01.2022 This is Ch Japatina Make Way For Da Rogue Rogue. Photos from him as a baby puppy through to last years Hobart Royal 2019. Rogue is one of my favourite dogs as he is so fun to show and live with. He has been one of my favourites to watch develop, as we had no idea what his colour was going to do. He is from an outcross from one of our good friends at Karlyermai kennels. While Rogue’s coat is lighter than our other dogs, it is still considered a shade of blue. Unfortunately due to COVID, his coat has been clipped off, but we are growing it back! Sir: CH. KARLYERMAI ROGUES T RICHES Sam Dam: CH. EMDEE XMAS ANGEL Angel
