15.01.2022 Give me a call on 07 5561 8161 to get your Tax Return Lodged and avoid a fine Returns done in person/email or by phone as required Avoid tax fines before October 31 deadline and get your $1080 tax cut... You’ll be getting around $1080 in tax cuts this year but the taxman could fine you up to $1100 before you get a chance. Here’s how to come out on top. Here are all the tax cuts projected to boost Aussie households in Budget 2020. Australian workers will be seeing extra cash in their pay packets from this month under early tax cuts promised by Treasurer Josh Frydenberg. But with a looming tax deadline, getting that extra cash might seem pointless if you’re hit with a late fee from the taxman. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) will start handing out fines to people who don’t lodge their tax returns by the looming deadline which is just a couple of days away. To avoid getting fined by the taxman, you need to lodge your tax return before October 31. According to ATO assistant commissioner Karen Foat, there are still people yet to lodge their tax return which is usually done around mid-year. If you plan to lodge with a tax agent, you may have a later lodgement date, but is important to contact your agent and get on their books now, she said. You still need to lodge your tax returns on time if you can, even if you can’t pay by the due date. 01.01.2022 Are you using your ABN? Give me a call if you need assistance 0410 485 646 Keeping up to date with your tax, super and business registration obligations helps us know your not-for-profit is active and you need an Australian business number (ABN).... If you haven’t used your ABN for a while, we may contact you about cancelling your ABN. We may also contact you about your ABN if your situation has changed. Your ABN data is a vital source of information for businesses, government and the community. ABN data provides important details so that government agencies can deliver support measures, including during unfortunate events. To ensure you don’t miss out on government support, it’s essential that you regularly review your ABN details and keep them up to date. You should also cancel your ABN if your not-for-profit is no longer operating, so that government agencies can tailor their support to those that need it. It’s also important to check that you have listed the physical address of your not-for-profit organisation. You may have listed your tax or BAS agent's address as your primary business physical address. This can make it difficult for emergency services and government agencies to contact you in a timely way. You can list both your mailing address and your physical location address separately on your ABN data. You can check and update your ABN details online at any time.
