25.01.2022 Spent Saturday afternoon at Keirle Park watching the famous Manly Savers Rugby Union team continue their winning streak beating Wakehurst 37-nil. The boys gave me the royal treatment providing me with my private box to watch the spectacle. Joining me in the private box (two chairs draped with purple satin on Jackos flat top truck) were Bill Sticks Tricker, husband David, Steve Jacko Allen, President of Manly Savers RUFC. And the wonderful Jan Tricker aka Mrs T to the team. Winners are Grinners - pic 2 of the team and supporters!

20.01.2022 Were all stunned by the images of surfing champion Mick Fannings close encounter with a large shark at a surfing event in South Africa yesterday. http://www.coastalwatch.com//video-mick-fanning-full-inter You may recall that recently Manly Council led the charge in applying pressure to the State Government for a review into non lethal alternatives to the NSW Shark Meshing program.... Council agreed to ask for an investigation into ways to reduce the perception of risk to the community brought about by reducing beach meshing days. Once I have further advice from the State Government about the review into non lethal alternatives to shark meshing, I will bring you up to date on the topic. I am sure you will join me in expressing immense relief that Mick Fanning escaped his encounter with the shark in South Africa. Image: Mick Fanning Australian Open of Surfing in Manly, 2015
