20.01.2022 My mum, like many mums, would say, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." So to think some c**ts (a warranted description) felt the need to comment things such as, "WTF?", "Eww" or "Cringe" on Gymshark's photo of Nelly London is pretty disgusting. As someone who wears @gymshark regularly, here’s my thoughts;... - Fitness clothing and apparel brands need to do more to promote bodies of women and men with 'normal' levels of body fat. Why? Because it's fucking normal. - More often than not in the fitness industry, brands are represented by individuals who are shredded with very low body fat levels. Gymshark included. A shift is needed to normalise bodies that aren't shredded to the bone. Gymshark are very 'late' to this party on that front but it is a start. - Fitness is not limited just to athletes. It is for EVERYONE. - If we are to see more acceptance and awareness of 'normal' bodies, then there needs to be more consistency in the content and messaging by brands. Let's hope that Gymshark stay consistent. What are your thoughts? See more

16.01.2022 More often than not, it isn't necessarily the scales that suck but rather how people use them. In this scenario, you are using a scale reading from one day in the week as a metric for your fat loss efforts. ... It doesn't tell the full story. Ever. (Women, see menstrual cycle etc). Although I rarely recommend doing this, a far better method to weighing yourself would be to weigh yourself every day and then record the weekly total and then figure out your daily average. Compare the daily average of Weeks 1 to 4 in the month and then you would have a far better understanding of what is actually happening with your fat loss efforts. Or... Just don't weigh yourself at all. Definitely do not weigh yourself randomly and at random times. Take progress photos. Check how snug or loose your clothes fit. There's some better tools for you See more

12.01.2022 Boozy Weekend? Before I waffle on, allow me to explain a few things; - I drink alcohol. So do my clients. ... - I don't work with elite athletes. - I certainly don't prep anyone for bodybuilding competitions anymore and never will again. - I believe the lifestyle that most trainers encourage their clients to follow is unrealistic and unattainable and they fail to accept that factor. Moving on. Here's a few simple strategies for you weekend warriors to follow. By 'weekend warrior', that's any of you on the scale from 2-3 red wines a night to those who get home at 4am and fall asleep with a kebab still in your hand. It would be easy for me to tell you to go to the extremes and remove alcohol from your weekend completely. Or, through the power of some simple habits and behaviours, you can find a way to fit your training program around your lifestyle and not vice versa. Salut See more

11.01.2022 Look at your newsfeed. Look at the ‘fitness influencers’ you are following. Do they inspire or ‘motivate’ you? ... Or are they demoralising you subconsciously? We so often compare the worst of ourselves against the best of others. I appreciate it can be difficult to show some perspective. I appreciate it can be difficult to show gratitude for our own individual circumstances. But I hope this video shows you that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side See more

07.01.2022 If you're after some bodybuilding exercises performed in different machines than what they are designed for, and which look cool for the 'Gram, this video isn't for you. Sorry. Here's a snippet of some Localised Sets. These are Giant Sets/Supersets performed in the same vicinity as each other.... Why? You don't have to go wandering around for other equipment to use, and you can perform these back-to-back quickly and effectively to increase the intensity of your workout. These are perfect for those looking for a full body workout or those who want get more work done in a short space of time. Nothing groundbreaking here or nothing fancy, but this workout style has always been a massive hit for busy professionals training in busy gyms. Whilst the exercise selections shown in this video are relatively 'basic' in their nature, you can use more advanced exercises in any Localised Set structure too. My FL3 Programs are full of Localised Sets for good reason and it'll be great to unleash them all in the new year for you to get stuck into See more
