18.01.2022 Happy New Year and it's time to say jingeri (hello) to the next season on the Kombumerri calendar, 'Ngun'. Meaning 'hot' in Yugambeh language, this season is hot and stormy and known for being when honey is ready to harvest and figs are ripe. Please note Jellurgal is closed until 6 January 2021.

13.01.2022 In Yugambeh language, the season including November and December is called 'Chalahn', meaning rainbow . The lilly pilly are in bloom, the possums are fat and thuderstorms are frequent.

13.01.2022 On the Kombumerri calendar, April is the start of a new season known as ‘Woodooroo wongara’ (meaning Tea Tree flowering). The weather is wet and becoming cooler and the mullet are fat Just a reminder that Jellurgal is closed over the Easter long weekend and will be open again from Tuesday 6 April.

01.01.2022 To mark NAIDOC Week 2020, our cultural officers, Anthony and Kyra, shared a yarn with Paratriathlete, Katie Kelly, and fellow Queensland Academy of Sport athletes at Pizzey Park on the Gold Coast to share information about the traditional custodians of the land on which they train. "Being involved with the Share a Yarn program has given me a great opportunity to learn and understand the culture of our First Nations people, as well as to be an advocate for that." - Katie Kelly, Australian Institute of Sport Share a Yarn ambassador.
