07.01.2022 Tonight on SBS channel 34 at 9pm is a doco I worked on called "Whadjuk to Wadjemup". Try and check it out if you can. In 2014, a team of Aboriginal people from various regions of WA united in an attempt to swim into the history books and become the first 'All Aboriginal' relay team to compete in the Rottnest Channel Swim. Repeat on Wed 9th Sep at 11.30am and will also be screened as part of the CinefestOZ Festival.

02.01.2022 John was a family friend, growing up alongside Great Aunty Norma. He was a passionate environmentalist, pioneer sound recordist and even made his own vinyl audio recording equipment. I wish I could have spoken more with him about his career sound recording birds and Aboriginal culture. We were 3 generations apart, but doing similar work. Vale John Hutchinson.
