21.01.2022 Happy International Women’s Day! As a women-owned business what does #eachforequal mean to JEM Med? It means flexible working options for all employees. It’s not just about working Mothers, it’s also about providing flexibility for Dads, employees with ageing parents or staff who want to explore their passions outside of their career (yoga anyone?). ... As the conversation grows to include everyone, the burden on mothers decreases and the loads can be shared inside the home and inside the office. The mental health benefits of a shorter work week for employees are incredible but the pay-off for businesses is just as significant - increased productivity and savings on resources like printing and electricity (check out the article on the Microsoft case study). JEM Med has been providing casual and contract clinical support staff for the medical device industry since 2017 (under the brand Evolution Clinical). Along the way, we have found so many capable, experienced, knowledgeable people no longer able to work in the industry due to a lack of flexibility. What a waste! Fortunately, we have been supported in our mission to provide excellent, flexible clinical support by a number of organisations but it’s still a challenge to get the broader industry on board.
