25.01.2022 Arent these superhero badges fantastic! These are just a few made by some creative kids at my last badge making workshop. I love how they looked deep and saw the hero qualities inside themselves.

23.01.2022 In the past I have helped my students enter this fantastic event, I don't have my regular term classes on anymore but it's so easy to enter you don't need me anyway. If your young person is artistic I highly recommend entering their artwork. It is so inspiring and motivating for them to see their work on display in a public gallery. 23.01.2022 Moreton Bay communities are invited to Stick Together through our new creative project Stick Together, led by our very own local Caboolture artist Mel Brady, w...ill be the first in a series of community art projects as part of CAAs Craft Connect program. Stick Together participants will be posted materials and then take part in an online workshop in Cross Stick Weaving. Participants will then send their final creations back to CAA where it will become part of an installation made up of the hundreds of weavings created by local participants. Whilst the activity itself could be seen as simple, the idea is to keep communities connected through craft and conversations. We also hope in some small way that contributing to the larger installation highlights that even in this time we are all still connected. We will look to coordinate workshop sessions with similar age groups and experience levels however anyone can participate. 20.01.2022 This is fun you could try this with a clear sheet and bring some white board markers too to add more fun creatures as you go along. You could make it look like a dragon was chasing him. And this could work on long car trips too.

16.01.2022 The school holidays are about to start with a BANG at the Caboolture Hub. Dress as a superhero for the FREE family fun day on Saturday 26th September. This is a small piece of the project I've been working on for the installation going up there next week.

12.01.2022 Meet Sah Ghee, one of the mentors for Moreton Bays Plug In Music Intensive taking place April 6-8. Sah Ghee is a vocalist, rapper, guitarist, songwriter and is... most known for his work as the frontman of the funk, groove, soul and RnB act CKNU. Sah has been writing music since he can remember. A proud Torres Strait Islander man his words and music are powerful and speak loudly about his strong culture and people looking after each other. Sah will be one of the mentors during the three-day music-intensive program for young people aged 12-25 living in the Moreton Bay region. Up to 20 positions are available for emerging musicians from all backgrounds. Write out your own experience of receiving kindness from a stranger and hand it to the reception or message me and I will turn that experience into a water drop for the next exhibition.

09.01.2022 It was a fantastic day at the Family Fun Day at The Hub yesterday. I had a great time helping people make their own superhero badges. It was so good to get ou...t and be at a live event, still carefully social distancing of course. The new Cleverman exhibition was in display, there were circus tricks and fencing, live music, green screen workshops and lots of other fun things going on. I'm also there tomorrow from 10am - 12pm if you want to stop by to make a badge. @ Caboolture Hub
