23.01.2022 HUGE THAKYOU We would like to express a heart filled thankyou to Jenny Hobbs, Gateway Markets in Port Augusta for the very generous donation we received. Generally we use donations for special or emergency cases, so it will go towards the care of Poppy and her puppies. She requires a good high quality diet to keep her and her puppies happy and healthy.... We are also caring for 2 young pups who came into care extremely underweight, so it will help with their health plan of also needing to be on a high quality diet beyond your normal diet to get them to good health. It also helps with the extra vetcare/treatment that may be required. Thankyou so much Poppy and puppies are doing really well and are in great hands with their wonderful foster family and valued team member of the rescue.
21.01.2022 NINA ready & available for adoption

21.01.2022 POPPY AND PUPS UPDATE Please do not ask about adopting any of the pups as we will not be accepting any applications or making any decisions until after 10 weeks of age. They will be listed on SavourLife once they are available and are taking applications. Thankyou Born 11th September 2020 - Skylar 220gm now 500gm, Saint 240gm now 680gm, Sofie 220gm now 500gm, Stella 180gm now 600gm, Samson 240gm now 620gm and Seth 320gm now 880gm... Poppy came into care with Spencer and Ernie heavily pregnant and extremely fearful of humans. We knew it was going to be tricky and was crucial to get her settled in the perfect foster home before the pups arrived for her and her pups well being. She needed to gain a level of trust in her carer who would be their with/for her during the birth of her pups. She settled in her foster home with all the love and patience she needed giving birth to 6 healthy pups a week after arriving. Thankyou Trish and Hannah for being there for Poppy. Poppy and her pups were vet checked by the great staff at Adelaide Plains Veterinary Surgery and everything is looking good. Thankyou guys for your ongoing support for the team members and carers located near Adelaide. Poppy has been on a high quality diet which she was placed on when she first came into care and is doing a wonderful job taking care of her pups while also learning to trust the humans in the home. It was quite exciting to hear and see her jump on the lounge the other night for a belly rub and play before heading back to her pups for her mum duties. Poppy is only very young herself, so she has been through a lot in her short life. Thankyou and well done to everyone involved Jenny's Angels Team
20.01.2022 WELCOME YINDI - 2 year old Female Australian Cattle Dog Thankyou to the people involved in saving and getting Yindi safe into care.
17.01.2022 WELCOME ERNIE, POPPY & SPENCER (small crossbreeds) We have had a couple of busy days taking in and settling 3 new faces into their foster homes. They came into care together thanks to Animal Control but we will be working with them as individuals. They are very timid and unsure of the world but settling well. Poppy was settled into her foster home first as she is heavily pregnant and needed a quiet place of her own. Ernie and Spencer will have all their vetwork completed and ...we will get to know them before they will be ready for their new homes and available for adoption. We are looking forward to watching their progress. Thankyou
16.01.2022 NOVA ready & available for adoption
14.01.2022 YINDI - Available soon Thankyou to HG Photography for these beautiful photos of the gorgeous Yindi. Her vet work has been completed and she is going through some training before she will be available for adoption. She will be listed on SavourLife once available. Thankyou
13.01.2022 NINA and NOVA Thank you to all those who have applied to adopt our lovely N puppies. We have been through the applications and referred them on to the foster carer as she knows them best, including their personalities. She will be in touch with the first preference applicants today to discuss a meet and greet next Sunday 8th November at Salisbury South.... Updates will be posted on this Page moving forward. Thank you for your patience and understanding, there was a lot of interest and it all take time to work through. We are all volunteers with family and work requirements like everyone else.
09.01.2022 POPPY & PUPS UPDATE Poppy is doing a great job with her puppies. They are growing and developing every day. They are now 3 weeks old. Eyes open and becoming quite mobile. Poppy is much more relaxed and enjoys taking time out from them for herself, whether that be outside or in the lounge room with her carer.... It really is remarkable how well Poppy is doing after coming in heavily pregnant and extremely fearful of people. She has had to put so much trust in her foster family and they are doing a fantastic job with her. It will be her time to shine once her pups are weaned and her mum duties are finished. Well Done to All
09.01.2022 SPENCER Spencer is coming along nicely on lead. Still unsure but doing well considering he would crocodile roll the first time on lead. Would like him to walk a bit closer to the handler and be more relaxed but that will come. We came across a few distractions with people walking past and dogs with no reaction or interest but he does need to be exposed to this more. Spencer will be available for adoption soon but will require on going training and socialisation.... Please note if interested he does have a double coat and will also require regular grooming. 07.01.2022 ERNIE We have made the most of some good weather to get some photos today. Ernie is also coming along but still quite unsure and nervous out of the home environment. Sharni came along for a bit of support. Ernie is still very unsure of people when out so we will continue to work with this to gain confidence and trust.... He will take a bit longer, but that is ok. 07.01.2022 POPPY, ERNIE & SPENCER UPDATE Today has been a pretty big day for Poppy and her wonderful carer bringing 6 little lives into the world. Well done and thankyou to Trish and Hannah for helping Poppy through her big day. Poppy did a fantastic job and all pups are healthy and feeding well.... Knowing Poppy was in great hands we have been working with Ernie and Spencer to gain their trust and build their confidence. They had a great day socialising and doing zoomies with our dogs. They are all doing really well after arriving only a week ago very timid, unsure and scared of people.

02.01.2022 SPENCER, ERNIE & POPPY UPDATE It has been work in progress with Spencer and Ernie since coming into care. They came in together with Poppy but they are not BONDED. In fact we beleive keeping them together will only affect their progress of becoming the best versions of themselves and growing in confidence. Spencer has had his vetwork completed and we are now exposing him to the world outside the home. Everything is so new to him, from learning to trust, his name, the feeling ...of a collar, walking on lead and the general basics. Today was his first time on lead outside the home and he did really well. Pretty proud of the boy. Ernie is at the vets today having his final vetwork done and we will then start the same process with him. He has taken a little longer gaining his trust so he is not upto the same stage as Spencer. It is important that we allow them to go at their own pace and not push them when gaining their trust. Zaria has once again worked her magic and helped with the boys. Poppy is also progressing well and is doing a wonderful job taking care of her pups while learning to trust her foster family. See more
