24.01.2022 ECU SCIENCE BUILDING Johndec Engineering Plastics WA are very proud to be part of the recently completed ECU Joondalup Campus Science Building, a five-level science building including 2,500m of laboratory space over two floors. The building’s laboratories are state of the art, large-scale and purpose-built to an Australian safety standard for handling and studying potentially hazardous materials. ... Johndec Engineering Plastics WA worked closely with Centigrade Mechanical Services to manufacture and supply equipment for this project, to a very tight production schedule. Equipment for this project supplied by JEPWA included:- 31 Safetyflow Fume Cupboards; including 4 units meeting DDA design requirements. 31 Chemco Fume Exhaust Fans 20 Duct Mounted Fume Scrubbers Over 1.5km uPVC duct work. As always It was a pleasure to worked with Centigrade Mechanical Services on this project. #madeinwa

12.01.2022 Recent project completed at Murdoch University construction of a new Flexilab, which JEPWA was proud to supply Safetyflow Fume Cupboards a multi-purpose teaching and preparatory laboratory for students studying science, technology and engineering. Flexilab has been designed as one open-plan and collaborative space that can accommodate up to 116 students. It incorporates powerful image capture and audio technologies to assist in teaching delivery and is equipped with extensi...ve AV solutions, including ten flat screen TVs, pan zoom cameras, document cameras, wireless microphones and waecom touch panels. A 200sqm preparation area to service the new Flexilab houses a cool room and freezer room, , constant temperature cabinets, drying cabinet, corrosive cabinet, oxidising agent cabinet and flammable liquid cabinets. The lab will serve as a prototype for future construction of multidisciplinary teaching and learning spaces of its kind across the Murdoch campus. 07.01.2022 A recently completed University Project using HoKa UPVC fittings; German-based company specializing in the manufacturer of moulded polymer chemical resistant ventilation duct fittings. All duct fittings are manufactured to be used in ventilation and conform with AS2243.8; with all bends having a centre-line radius equal to the diameter, not like standard off the shelf plumbing fittings. Duct and fittings are produced in a large array of sizes with dimensions ranging from 75 t...o 1000mm diameter. These unique moulded plastic fittings are available in all commonly required arrangements such as bends, junctions, joiners and transitions. This vast range virtually eliminates the need for custom fabrication. Produced in PVC, PP, PPs, HDPE and PVDF, HoKa plastic fittings are suitable for all exhaust and ventilation systems, including the extraction of corrosive and volatile fumes. PVC duct and fittings can be joined by solvent welding whilst the joining of other materials (PP, HDPE, PPs & PVDF) is done by a plastic welding process.

The auto sash controller is designed to close the sash of vertically rising sash fume cupboards automatically when the operator is not present in front of the fume cupboard. A passive infer red sensor (PIR) constantly monitors the work area in front of the fume hood. If a person is not detected and the sash opening is clear, the sash will automa...tically close after a pre-determined time. When the operator is present the sash can be operated manually via the optional Tiptronic touch sensitive feature or using an optional foot switch. Auto open option is also available.
