25.01.2022 I recently turned 30! And professionally and personally, I couldn’t be more proud of myself and the life I have worked so hard to have. So why does society at the tail end of a woman’s twenties and her thirties begin to ask questions about why they haven’t found a significant other yet? And if you’re willing to put yourself out there, how do you do so without compromising your independence and lifestyle? I chat about my opinions and the way in which I’m choosing to navigate this in my blog. It’s all about knowing your priorities and values...and recognizing that your willingness to be vulnerable is the greatest strength you posses. #birthdaycelebrations #goodvibes #vulnerability #strength #dating #societalexpectations #essence #ofexpression #beingyourself #notsettling #huntervalley #newcastle #sydney
19.01.2022 Not to mention, dating is all about being open, vulnerable and happy in your own skin in order to meet people and really connect with them. I’ve worked hard on every element of my personality and life. I love who I am! But learning to feel that way all the time (which let’s be honest, most of us do not), juggle a busy business, allow time to prioritize someone else and ultimately be vulnerable all at the same time is a lot to handle. #vulnerability #dating #timemanagement #selfcare #strength #societalexpectations #essenceofexpression #selfexpression #huntervalley #newcastle #sydney
15.01.2022 As a woman who has worked very hard to establish and run a successful business, I also want someone that will not be threatened or define me by my work endeavors. Work is a large part of my life but it isn’t all of my life. I’d like them to understand why I do what I do and the passions behind that, rather than simply the perceived benefits of running a business. #businesswoman #womeninbusiness #support #work #lifepurpose #passion #worklifebalance #community #alliedhealth #professionals #essenceofexpression
14.01.2022 Telling my family about my dating life is another level of vulnerability that I have recently had to confront. I now share details with friends and family when going on dates. There are 4 people in my life that I disclose my dating life too on a frequent occasion. The reason why, for safety! I tell them when I have a date, where and who they are. I give them timeframes and what we’re doing. I also have made a pact that I would communicate with them over the night at different points where appropriate, just so they know I am safe. #dating #safety #awareness #family #friends #vulnerability #brand #personal #selfexpression #essenceofexpression
01.01.2022 Whilst talking about the importance of vulnerability and dating, I also want to talk about boundaries and self respect. In order to make yourself truly happy and to keep yourself safe, you need to recognise what you want and where your boundaries lie. No one is worth compromising your integrity or wellbeing for. The people in your life should compliment you not complete you. Remind yourself that you are enough. I wrote more about this in a second blog about safety and dating. Take a look on the website to read more. #dating #vulnerabilityisstrength #safety #selfrespect #boundaries #blog #integrity #essenceofexpression
