18.01.2022 It’s a public holiday here in Melbourne. Not that a public holiday means much to me other than daycare is cancelled ha ha! We’ve been working in the garden today. The veggie patch has been neglected and the natives needed a good weeding. We also managed a visit to our local water play park. Did you have much planned for today? Whatever you did, I hope you had an amazing day!

18.01.2022 I wish I could do more of these painting time lapse videos but with 2 littlies, filming can be difficult. It also means I need to be sitting at my studio desk and a lot of times that’s not practical

13.01.2022 The moon is a favourite with our kids. They’re fascinated by it. What’s not to love though? It’s pretty spectacular! It’s a little tradition in our family that occasionally on a clear night, Daddy takes the kids outside to watch the moon.

13.01.2022 Echinacea. I had no idea it was such a stunning flower until recently. A medicinal herb, and a pretty one at that. I have tried to grow it, very unsuccessfully does anyone have any tips?? This was drawn and painted in just over 5 minutes. I love setting myself a challenge. Time constraints or colour limitations. Nothing like a challenge for motivation!

13.01.2022 Yesterday I managed to go shopping for the first time in a long time. Picked myself up a few art supplies and some brown card to paint on. 12.01.2022 We went for a walk around our local forest a few days ago. It was pretty cold and very soggy but we had a great time. I took so many photos of the local flora and this painting was inspired from them So grateful to have inspiration at my doorstep!

11.01.2022 Hooray for Friday!! I painted this black cockatoo a year ago whilst travelling around the west coast of Australia. I actually finished it at El Questro station which is at the start of the Gibb River Rd. What an adventure that was!!... I think this is still one of my favourite paintings because it holds so many special memories. I’m really hoping our borders open up soon because there’s so many places I’d love to see! ? ’ ’ ? 10.01.2022 Hands up those who use an electronic device for art, and the old fashioned paper Hands up if you keep pinching the paper to zoom out Hands up if you keep double finger tapping the paper to erase a mistake ... Hands up if you know you’re doing it but can’t stop Working on my Asters for an upcoming piece. Practice really does make perfect. Not that these are perfect but they sure are much better than what I was drawing a few weeks ago

09.01.2022 Tell me, what’s your favourite flower/plant? I have many, way too many to list. One day I’m all about wattles, next I’m doting over the bottle brush. Usually natives tickle my fancy but today it’s the Protea. Unfortunately the Protea is not an Australian native, it is native to South Africa. Non the less it’s still a favourite!

08.01.2022 Gotta love a good #plantpun! I’ve got 15 indoor plants in my lounge alone 2 of those are Pileas. It takes me about an hour a week to water my indoor plants and do a little maintenance. They’re my pride and joy, except Miss Maiden Hair Fern. We don’t really get along So what plants do we all have for the weekend? We’re looking forward to seeing some friends for the first time in a long time! My veggie patch needs attention and I’ve found a few tulip and renunculus bulbs that I forgot to plant
