24.01.2022 Hey Jetts Fam, with the easing of restrictions as of midnight. We have been able to increase our maximum capacity (still bound by 1 person per 4sqm and social distancing rules). This means that there will no longer be any waiting during the busy times and you can train straight away As directed by the VIC Government, we still require a COVID Marshal during the hours of operation so we are not able to operate at 24/7 just yet. ... The government has explained that this restriction is to be reviewed in 2 weeks or sooner and will keep you all updated as we find out, fingers crossed we can go 24/7 again ASAP We will be continuing our extended staffed hours as we have been doing since reopening. It’s been a tough time but we just wanted to thank you all so much for your understanding and your patience!

18.01.2022 Just started running or walking? THIS IS A MUST! Did you know that there are 2 major muscles that many call the calf muscles? These are called the Gastrocnemius (most outer muscle) and Soleus muscle (underneath the gastric) and they both insert onto the Achilles tendon. Both muscles are responsible for plantarflexion (pointing toes down at the ground) and shock absorption when walking, running or really any sort of movement when on your feet!... With everyone heading out for their walks or runs due to the current restrictions, many who haven’t done any sort of cardio in a while may come back with sore or tight calf muscles. So, here’s a handy tip that will help to target and stretch those two specific muscles after your run or walk! To stretch the gastrocnemius (outer upper calf), push against a wall with your back leg out behind you and knee fully straight. To hit your soleus (muscle deeper inside and lower down) bend the back leg towards the wall and lean into it with your body weight to help push it down. In both stretches the front leg should be bent facing the wall. It’s Important that you stretch to a point of discomfort NOT pain! You can perform this stretch as many times as you like whenever you feel your calves tighten up. #jettsberwick #jettsathome #jettscommunity
