20.01.2022 Introducing Sal Petrassi, our new Remedial Massage Therapist! Sal is one of the recent additions to our team and we’re so excited to share her talents and knowledge with our community. A bit about Sal: ... Fitness and health have always been a large part of her life, from being involved in sports from a young age to becoming an Australian Representative in Taekwondo from 25 to 35. This experience and passion for health led her to become first a fitness professional, running individual and group personal training sessions, followed by completing an Advanced Certificate in Nutrition and Health in order to better assist her fitness clients, and now as an incredibly knowledgeable and skilled remedial massage therapist. Outside of the Wellness Centre, Sal instructs aqua strength and fitness classes, and enjoys her own fitness training, all while being a mother of three. Viki is a recent addition to our growing team here at Jewells Family Wellness Centre and we’re thrilled be to able to work alongside her as she shares her knowledge and talents to assist our clients and the Jewells community. A bit about Viki: Viki just moved all the way from Perth to join us here at Jewells and to have the opportunity to fill a necessary and welcomed role in the community.... Prior to her studies, Viki was a member of the Australian Army for four years where she learned a trade. Following that, she completed her Master of Clinical Psychology and has been a passionate advocate for mental health work ever since. While she finds all areas of her profession interesting, Viki is drawn to helping those who struggle with eating disorders, trauma, anxiety and/or depression, personality disorders, and substance abuse, and has experience with a wide range of clients. On Friday night an amazing group of our friends, family, and clients gathered at our centre to celebrate our very first birthday here at Jewells! The last 12 months have been a wild ride, from first opening our doors and gaining such wonderful support from the community and local businesses, to beginning and completing our renovations and expansions.
