21.01.2022 Spotted! Mr Du played Romeo as guest principal artist in ballet Romeo and Juliet produced by @acbaustralia #Repost @acbaustralia TRIBUTE!... In the coming weeks, the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet remembers and appreciates the valuable contribution of the many international guest artists and all who have participated in ACB international ballet galas and full length ballet productions over the last two decades performing at the Arts Centre Melbourne. ACB performances have given its ballet students, many of whom are now dancing with ballet companies worldwide, the amazing opportunity to work with and learn from these world renowned guest artists from international ballet companies including Royal Ballet, Paris Opera, Kirov Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, American Ballet Theatre , The Australian Ballet and many others. These opportunities for the students and our followers has been interrupted during the pandemic. We will return stronger and will present our popular Christmas ballet presentation of The Nutcracker with our orchestra and international guest artists in December 2021 at the Arts Centre, Melbourne. Here was a Melbourne ballet school on an admirable pedagogic mission: to expose its students and local audiences to diverse examples of international excellence. The Conservatoire students showed solid technique, excellent discipline and refreshing enthusiasm." - The Australian 2009 In 2005, Paris Opera Ballet School kindly allowed their graduates Marina Guizien and Martin Arroyo to perform for our premiere of Christine Walsh’s Romeo and Juliet which ACB performed at Melbourne Town Hall with Melbourne Youth Orchestra. The total roles were shared with DU Jiayin from The Australian Ballet and ACB graduate Chloe Smith. In 2010 ACB performed this ballet again with Du Jiayin and LIAO Xiang (Houston Ballet ll) at the State Theatre, Arts Centre Melbourne with our 60 piece ACB Orchestra under Peter Bandy’s baton. The role of Tybalt was performed by both Martyn Fleming and Campbell McKenzie (formerly Australian Ballet). #classical #ballet #productions #international #guestartists #acborchestra @acbaustralia

20.01.2022 Ballet learning is like swan paddling. We don’t see the hard work conducted by the swan’s webbed feet which propels the graceful motion we see and admire.

12.01.2022 Character Dance is always a fun part of ballet learning. Students love character dance for its expressive power. Thanks to Ms @Ariane Donatella Quellier for her teaching and choreographing this Tambourine Dance back in 2015.

11.01.2022 Mr Du had wonderful experience teaching at Melbourne City Ballet in 2014. Feel sorry for the permanent closedown of this company from 2019. Ballet is never easy. Running a private ballet company is probably one of the hardest endeavor in this age. ... We admire those who chase dreams of producing artworks with the commitment to excellent!

02.01.2022 What Artistic Expression means to Jiayin Du? - When you forget your technique, forget yourself, and become engrossed in the music, you will be infused by more feeling, more beauty and more strength.
