From the outside, there is a pandemic that has been threatening our health, depleting our finances, jeopardizing our mental a...nd emotional well-being, and disrupting our way of life. From the inside, we have our personal battles: some of us may have fears and worries and stresses others, loneliness and the pursuit of joy and peace still others, a gnawing guilt, shame. The answer to all those? God’s Word. Let us devour God’s unchanging promisesof protection, of provisions, of deliverance, of hope, of peace, of joy. Then let us allow God’s revelation of who He is drown usHe is Mighty Creator, Great Deliverer, Dependable Defender He stills storms, moves mountains, and breaks bondages and He cares for us, looks after us, even reaches out to us because He loves us. That’s just a sampling of what we’ll uncover as we read God’s Word. So this National Bible Week, let us dive in and read. God’s Word indeed restores, but we need to read. We need to listen.
