Register Now and fight for your spot on the Australian National Jiu Jitsu Team AIS has approved the new date for the trials, however it will be closed to spectators and open for competitors & officials only !! Numbers will be capped !! So get in quick .. May 24 - Continental Jiu Jitsu Championships is the Official Australian National Adult (18 - 34 yr old)Team Trials, an Open Belt Tournament at AIS, Canberra .. All athletes will fight in ...their weight category, regardless of rank, to find the best Aussie Resident to represent the country .. The trials will be the fairest way to select the best team that Australia has to offer, athletes will earn their spot !! National Adult Team will consist of 7 male and 7 female athletes in the weight divisions provided .. The team will be representing Australia at the 2020 JJIF World Championships in Abu Dhabi, the 2021 World Combat Games in Kazakhstan and the 2021 World Games in the USA !! .. Good luck Champions !! Day 1, May 23, Oceania Jiu Jitsu Games will be a qualifying event for white/blue/purple belts .. The winner of each Adult (18 - 34 yr old) division will be invited with Free Entry to the Adult National Team Trials, an Open Belt Tournament on Day 2, also at AIS .. (Brown/Black Belts can enter... directly into Day 2 Team Trials, info to follow). The trials will be the fairest way to select the best Adult team that Australia has to offer, athletes will earn their spot !! Team will consist of 7 male and 7 female athletes in the weight divisions provided .. 01.01.2022 JJIF Australia are currently communicating with Sport Australia and AIS with regards to our trials event Sport Australia, being the peak governance in sport and directed by Government, we are confident the right choices and directions will be followed. At this stage with COVID-19 directives and restrictions put in place, we are waiting on a possible date change from AIS and Sport Australia. ...
