21.01.2022 Wrapping up our video snippets for the week with our handsome geldings War x Lustica and War x Spanish Symphony heading back to the stables after their track work. We're really impressed with how these two young geldings are looking, how well they handled their first day at the track and making themselves at home in the stable!

19.01.2022 Additional stakes money announcement As you may or may not have heard, the Tasmanian Government has just announced an injection of $705,000 into the Tasmanian thoroughbred racing industry for this financial year. This additional funding means not only are there more opportunities to win across the racing season, but also a boost of $150,000 to the TASBRED scheme (new total $600,000) meaning an extra bonus for Tasmanian bred yearlings, and more incentive to buy and breed in Tasmania. We, along with our industry peers are excited by this decision and appreciate the Government's support in the wake of what has been a bumpy year for so many.

There's a lot to keep on top of behind the scenes at JKB Racing, and we have Penny to thank for dotting i's and crossing t's (lots of them!). Although she's happy to leave the horse handling to the professionals, if the team need an extra set of hands, she's not scared to get hers dirty. 08.01.2022 Fancy a dip? As well as a walker and treadmill, our onsite facilities also house a training pool for our horses. Just like us, taking to the water is great for their recovery, cardiovascular conditioning and endurance.
