25.01.2022 With water cooling, dual extrusion and force sensing bed detection added to the print head on our Rostock Max 3D printer, the loom was getting a little too heavy and causing print and calibration issues. 15.01.2022 In spite of all the advantages of #CAD, often using more #traditionaldesign methods to generate and refine ideas is quicker and much more productive. Case in point, using plasticine to get a feel for proportion and scale around required dimensions for this low impact pipe mounted telemetry module. Doesn't look much but it saved a day's worth of time and money in iterating through CAD models as various options were tried and discarded. And the CAD models are so much more resil...ient when you start with clear #designintent on that first CAD sketch. #industrialdesign #designprocess #bagoftricks
