24.01.2022 So how is your covid-shut down travelling?? It’s been a doozy 10 days here!! Getting used to the noise!! I’d forgotten how much the house changes with the addition or subtraction of multiple people in it!! Plus the whole rescheduling of photo shoots to ensure your family and my family’s continued health. Here is a few snippets of our out of school schooling and life in lockdown! 24.01.2022 Phew what a week of wow! Between kid sport and then kid illnesses (hello change of season!) and no matter how old your kids are if they are up all night so are you!! Then the whole start of isolation it’s really got me thinking about what things can we do while the kids will either be on holidays or on lock out if it comes to that. One thing I think I’ll be exploring again is cookie decorating (which keep in mind is also a super fun activity for a photo session as well!!) I’m sure I’ll be traumatising the teenage boys with them but hey gotta do something to feed them - makes me wonder how much they’ve improved their artistic talent??

23.01.2022 Happy Easter from this nostalgic wishing he was still this little and would wear easter bunny ears for me mama to you!! I hope that the Easter bunny found you and that the chocolate coma's are commencing! dont forget to snap some photos of your little ones with chocolate everywhere! they are the best!!

23.01.2022 I met with this gorgeous family this week as part of my model call for families with preschoolers and/ or babies!! Lucky us we got some mummy and me time to play!!! Ive shared a couple of sneak peaks and now mum has seen her gallery I can share some of my faves too!! The best thing about sessions with little boys is how much energy they have!! I love that our documentary sessions are broken up into little pockets of activities!! Here are some of the faves from our session!! It must be nearly time to add torture the teenagers into the mix with sessions I think! Dont you think Cassie Knox-niven?? haha think they'll tolerate me again?? 22.01.2022 Do you journal? I’m a sporadic journaller - more when my head needs clearing. But I’ve followed #bulletjournalling for a few years truly Intrigued by it. I’ve tried it a few times but could never get the concept. One little thing I got caught up with was I wanted a #dotjournal haha! I was strolling through Kmart and boom found 2!! So my first attempt at setting some intention and creating an inspiration and goal journal I played with a front page! It’s a start right?? My kid actually asked why he didn’t get my artistic side.... umm dude it’s straight lines haha you haven’t missed much!

18.01.2022 Mr 4 couldn’t quite get his finger to make the shutter release on my big camera this week... so we traded... he got my phone camera and I had the big camera - he did a pretty good job huh!! Budding photographer or videographer maybe??

To all women in our lives that give us cuddles, take selfies together, keep our treasures, mop up our tears, bring our smiles, have dance parties, makes us laugh, listen, tell us off, just brighten up our lives for being there! You are amazing and loved and I hope you’ve had a wonderful day!!

10.01.2022 And that’s a wrap for the water polo season thanks to covid! The kids were looking forward to the semi final and potentially grand final! But for a first season it’s been a great one to watch and learn and for @tyler_byrne1207 to play! #waggawaterpolo #dolphinswaterpolo

08.01.2022 I was reading through some notes from a workshop I’m doing and the prompt of the day is HOME IS..... It really got me thinking - where is the heart of your home? Is it the kitchen? Everybody gathers there a lot of the time? Is it a family room of couches and space to be together? ... So my thoughts were that our heart is the kitchen/dining room in our house. That’s where we hang out the most as it’s side by side. It’s probably also one of the best lit rooms in the house as well so bright and airy. You’ve probably noticed in my 366 images that I take a lot of our photos in these rooms cause a) we are there and b) all that yummy light all day! So tell me or even better show me with a pic of you and your family doing what you love in your favourite room!

06.01.2022 What is something you’ve found during this time? I’ve been reading a lot of posts about what are you missing the most during this isolation period... and it got me thinking. It’s no what I’m missing... it’s what I’m finding. The biggest thing I’ve found in the last few days - my kids unconditional gut busting laughter. They are relaxing. They are playing together. They are laughing. And this is one of my favourite things about this ISO time!

03.01.2022 SNEAK PEEK | MUMMY AND ME DOCUMENTARY SESSION I absolutely love mummy and me sessions. The reason why I love them so much hit me like a train the other day while chatting with this gorgeous mama and she said that she is the one always behind the camera and there are heaps of photos with daddy and their princess. Hands up if you are like this mama and I and are ALWAYS the one TAKING the photos and NEVER documenting your days with your children and other family members?? So while COVID delayed us.. we were finally able to document some of the really fun things that they do together!! Oh and can I add... this is one BRAVE mama that embraces the noise and joins in with recorder and trumpet playing with her toddler haha!! (and yep we snuck in a story with Mummy and Daddy!!) @AlyssaBungert

02.01.2022 To say that these feel like some crazy uncertain times is an understatement! Thank you so much to all my portfolio clients recently! its been such an amazing feeling to be able to tell your stories! Dont stress Im not going anywhere - however I am pulling back from taking on sessions given the current situation. I will be sharing more from my recent gorgeous families. I do intend to keep shooting never fear! So watch this space for shut down documentary images... and tips &... ideas for you to document your own experiences while we practice the social isolation with our families and loved ones (even if its via facetime or phone calls. If you are loving these shares then please dont hesitate to keep in contact and share the love as I will be back documenting you all as soon as we can!! Some exciting new things in progress that fingers crossed schooling at home will coincide with mama computer time too! >3 Jodie

01.01.2022 We have so many stories to share!! One of the most important parts of motherhood is building those relationships between your children and as a mum we all know that it starts the moment that a sibling is born. I love this special relationship between this Mama- Kate and her gorgeous children! One super proud and loving big sister always there to help chat with her Mama, burp her baby brother or smother him in kisses as well! Big sisters are so so awesome!!
