07.01.2022 Taxpayers who were affected by the recent catastrophic bushfires will be given a 2-month automatic lodgement and payment deferral by ATO. The following 16 local government areas affected by the bushfires were given automatic deferrals by the ATO: New South Wales:... Bellingen Clarence Valley Coffs Harbour Glen Innes Severn Kempsey Inverell Mid Coast Nambucca Port Macquarie-Hastings Richmond Valley Tenterfield Uralla Walcha Queensland: Noosa Livingstone Individuals and business owners are not required to call the ATO or tax agents to implement this deferral, as this has been done automatically by the ATO. Business Activity Statement (BAS) for the Sep 2019 quarter would generally be due on 11 Nov 2019 or 28 Nov 2019 for entities using a tax agent will now be due on 28 Jan 2020.

05.01.2022 Single Touch Payroll (STP) The ATO require all employers to prepare payroll with STP compliant software. This system delivers payroll information directly to the ATO in real time. If you have 20 or more employees, STP applied to you from 1 July 2018. If you have 19 or less employees, it will apply to you from 1 July 2019....
